Rate the Match #1: Chris Jericho vs Shawn Michaels @ WrestleMania XIX
 

Basically this is another rip off (of I think Helmsphere's?) popular Rate the Wrestler idea... only instead we can Rate the Match.

So, the rules are to give the match a rating on a scale from 1 - 10 (1 being the lowest rating you can give and 10 being the highest) and once everyone has completed voting after a period of time, I'll calculate the totals and post the results in the next installment of 'Rate the Match'.

If it catches on, I'll do some more matches. If not, I'll let the concept die. I'll decide on the first match, but if any of you want others rated for the next round just PM me and I'll put up your suggestions.

For starters, I'm going to go with a match that was built up for months and the big payoff was wrestled on the biggest stage of them all, WrestleMania XIX.

Just felt it was a great match, and it had great storytelling with Jericho impersonating/trying to out-do HBK during the match, trying to beat him with Chin Music. Exciting match with really good build :y:

Great idea Mr. JL that I thought about once before. This could go on forever as well with all the matches out there.

On a side note, this is probably one of my most watched matches, as it's a great "Go-To" match that you can watch any time.

Ohhhh, one of my favorite matches ever, but I'm not gonna give a 10 for the some reason others didn't. Jericho should have won.

This was a perfect match but it didn't steal the show in my book. I was more into Booker T/Triple H and Angle/Lesnar that night.

Excellent match. Excellent storytelling. Excellent build up.

Overall IMO one of the finest build-up/match payoffs in history.

I was right with my 20. It was up there with Hart/Perfect.

Since I wasn't watching wrestling at the time, I just caught the match on YouTube, there was great psychology, great ring presence from both, and it was technically sound.

A perfect 10 will be nearly impossible for me, however.

Yeah, I'm in the fecking match, it's got to be a 10 surely, plus I then pimp out TPWW, how i'm not royalty here is still a mystery to me.

Now kiss my ring!
