OMG Teddy Long is dead.

:'( :'(

P.S. His middle name is Rufus

Xero 09-21-2007 10:05 PM

Another one fucks the dust?

KingofOldSchool 09-21-2007 10:10 PM

He was so upset that he missed the Ho Train, his heart just gave out on him.

Xero 09-21-2007 10:11 PM

They finally cracked his nut...

Chuck Jones 09-21-2007 10:12 PM

pretty bad timing...

Inadequacy 09-21-2007 10:13 PM

If this doesn't lead to Ken Kennedy being Long's bastard son I will be thoroughly disappointed.

Meh.

Shadow 09-21-2007 11:51 PM

...Long's dead?

Kane Knight 09-22-2007 12:04 AM

Sadly, Shadow, it's only an angle. He'll come back as part of the new Ministry.

The Naitch 09-22-2007 01:33 AM

They'll keep him alive.

dablackguy 09-22-2007 02:26 AM

I don't know how much you guys believe in karma and the like...

But the last time we had a death angle, someone actually died and although not related, karma?

And the last one before that, I remember Al Wilson... yeah, think my love of Wrestling died with Al Wilson

Glad to see Vince is still going to use "deaths" (although not stated on wwe.com) in angles

Gray 09-22-2007 02:27 AM

Did Simmons shout Damn! ?

The Naitch 09-22-2007 02:33 AM

lol at Vince still doing another death angle

Mr. JL 09-22-2007 09:08 AM

With all that has gone on in the past year related to pro wrestling deaths, you would think the WWE would be smart enough not to go anywhere near an angle like this for a long while (even if Teddy Long does not kick the bucket).

Xero 09-22-2007 09:29 AM

That was the worst pop The Godfather has ever gotten. Seems that there are almost no Attitude Era fans left. :nono:

Mr. JL 09-22-2007 10:08 AM

and can you really blame them for leaving?

Kane Knight 09-22-2007 10:27 AM

I could complain that this is disrespectful to those who died, whether he really dies or not in the angle. I could argue that it's too soon. I could probably argue a lot of things, most of which I don't believe in, but my first thought, really, was "Does WWE think enough people give a shit about Teddy Long to make this worthwhile?

Slow 09-22-2007 10:33 AM

No

Slow 09-22-2007 10:35 AM

A heart attack eh? that'll teach the cradle robbing bastard!

FourFifty 09-22-2007 11:48 AM

Hey, let's clear things up. Ric Flair had a heart attack in the ring and then he went on to win tag team and IC gold! WOOOOOOO!!!

I was watching The Best of Raw Volume 2 (the Attitude Era ones) and even the Godfather got a better pop as a mid-carder than the top guys do today! It's saddening to look back on.

Lol his thud to the ground when he fell...I burst out laughing :$:

#1-norm-fan 09-22-2007 02:17 PM

When I first read this, I rushed to wwe.com to see if they had actually announced that he died. Turns out they're going with him being in a "comatose state" so, he'll probably end up not dying. Still, a bit of a risky angle.

Also, this was on the site...

"After being rushed to a local medical facility, Long’s doctors claim the groom was suffering from hypertension, which was worsened by the ingestion of the erectile dysfunction medicine Viagra."

I wonder if this is a somewhat subtle jab at the whole drug scandal?

#1-norm-fan 09-22-2007 02:18 PM

I thought the entire wedding segment was really well done, by the way.

Kane Knight 09-22-2007 03:10 PM

Yeah, I thought Long might really been dead.

Man, was that a letdown.

:shifty:

Anybody Thrilla 09-22-2007 03:13 PM

Another one spoiled.

I'm really beginning to not like you guys.

IC Champion 09-22-2007 03:16 PM

What was spoiled this time? Smackdown?

It was up on WWE.com, so obviously it was not a spoiler.

#1-norm-fan 09-22-2007 03:29 PM

The writers usually do a pretty good job of spoiling Smackdown! before the show is even filmed so... :-\

Gerard 09-22-2007 04:01 PM

dbl pst

Gerard 09-22-2007 04:02 PM

Says on the site he's comatose not dead. :wtf:

They'll leave the death angle till the honeymoon fuckfest.

Writer: I've got an idea!

It was up after SmackDOWN! aired, and I avoided the site thinking something might be spoiled, so obviously shut up.
