The "They should bring ____________ to the Wii VC" thread
 

Since it seems to me that we all enjoy the Wii VC so much, but they only bring out two or three games on it a week, my idea is this: Let's use this thread to point out games that Nintendo, or the companies that are helping them out with the VC in whatever way they are, NEEDS to make avaliable to the Virutal Console. Keep in mind that they put a few import games on there (SMB Lost Levels and Sin & Punishment, the latter I'm tempted to DL, btw).

My list for games wanted on the VC includes:

• Super Punch-Out
• Fatal Fury 2 (The Neo-Geo version, the one that REALLY took it off)
• ANY of the Mega Man games (why have you not released them on it yet, Nintendo/Capcom?)
• ANY of the Final Fantasy games (I could see why on this, though. Square releases a new version of the first six every month, but I'd still DL them).
• Castlevania 2 & 3
• Super Mario Bros. 3 (THE BEST Mario game that existed for a WHILE, still one of THE best)
• Earthbound
• Super Mario World 2
• Sailor Moon: Another Story (localize THIS and watch people DL it like crazy. Out of all the SM games that they released overseas, THIS is the best one, and a pretty solid RPG in its own right).
• The ORIGINAL Starfox
• The FIRST Mother game (Earthbound Zero, it's prototype, or something).

I don't think anyone who matters over there at Nintendo/comp. in question will ever read this, but what the hell.

Apparently Earthbound will be on the VC eventually. I heard that Nintendo is going to use the sales of that to decide whether to bring Earthbound 3 (Mother 3) to North America.

I played Sunset Riders when I went on holiday when I was younger. Played it in the arcade with my sister and I couldn't get enough of the game then so I'd like to have it on my Wii.

I only played it in the arcade. What was the differences in the SNES/Genisis versions?

I wouldn't mind seeing Battletoads appear in the SNES section of the VC.

At a certain point they have different levels. After level 3 I think. Also, the Genesis verison is hard as balls.

Gotta agree about Battletoads, but I say go all out and release all the Battletoads games along with the Double Dragon games and the team up: Battletoad and Double Dragon

It's about time they put Vegas Stakes up.

I'm a Donkey Kong Country series mark, so I gotta go with DKC3. It wasn't the best in the series, but it wasn't nearly as flawed as some people made it out to be. Rare got really ambitious with it, and it didn't quite pay off, and keeping it simpler would have allowed to a much greater gameplay experience. A team of Donkey Kong and Dixie Kong would have rocked the world, too.

road doggy dogg is a god for agreeing that DKC2 is the greatest 2D platformer ever made. I'm going to have to trust him and really look into Yoshi's Island when it comes out. I played it a bit as a kid, and I remember loving it, but the Mario world never came close to immersing me as much as the Donkey Kong world.

Earthbound seems like a pretty good choice to me, too. I'm also itching for some Chrono Trigger and Mortal Kombat 1-3.
