Saw 4?

This came out yesterday.

Anyone see it or plan on seeing it?

I'm kind of interested in seeing it even though I just read the whole movie on Wikipedia. Just to be shocked at how much gore there is. It seems like a shitty movie. Probably wont see it.

I've already SAW (no pun intended) all the other ones.

HAHA I JUST MADE A FUNNY!

I crack myself up.

Keyword is crack.

No, seriously, anyone gonna go see this one?

ron the dial 10-26-2007 10:14 PM

If your pun wasn't intended you would have said "seen."

And I do not plan on seeing this.

Lock Jaw 10-26-2007 11:16 PM

Didn't even know this came out... its got like no advertising whatsoever. The other ones were all over my TV.

Jura 10-26-2007 11:19 PM

Don't know what you are on about mate. Okay I sounded British there. MONGED! Anyways I've seen the ads for Saw 4 lately on TV. I hope they make it to Saw X: Jigsaw in Space.

Boondock Saint 10-27-2007 05:55 AM

Yeah it seems like every other ad is for this.

But anyways, I'm probably going to see this on DVD. None of my friends like horror movies. I've enjoyed this series so far.

Xerzes 10-27-2007 06:30 AM

It'll be shit.

Triple A 10-27-2007 07:24 AM

I saw it tonight because other people wanted to see it.

I didn't see Saw 3 and apparently a bunch of shit in this movie ties in with Saw 3 so I had no idea what the fuck was going on for like 60% of the movie.

All the torture crap was pretty freaking cool but the plot was horrendous. I was not into it AT ALL.

ct2k 10-27-2007 07:31 AM

I can't wait for Saw's 5 and 6

Triple A 10-27-2007 07:40 AM

They are already in pre-production apparently.

ct2k 10-27-2007 07:41 AM

They'll keep making them as long as people keep going to watch, seriously I think we could have our first '10' sequel that isn't a porno in6 years time

FearedSanctity 10-27-2007 07:45 AM

I liked it. But yeah, if you haven't seen the third then you really shouldn't see this one, else you be really fucking confused.

El Vaquero de Infierno 10-27-2007 07:00 PM

Can't say I've seen any of them... so i probably won't start now.

Jon Kano 10-27-2007 07:45 PM

looks wank so no

Skippord 10-27-2007 08:20 PM

Probably going to see it tomorrow

Crimson 10-27-2007 11:35 PM

Overrated series , wait for it on TNT before Halloween 2011

Mercury Bullet 10-28-2007 12:51 AM

Worst of the 4.

Really liked the first two. Third was okay. This was okay too, but a little less okay than the third.

PorkSoda 10-28-2007 12:58 AM

Do they show any flashbacks from Saw 3? I really dont wanna see the Timothy Young scene again so if its in Saw 4 I'm not gonna see that one at all. It waas pretty gross.

Mercury Bullet 10-28-2007 02:10 AM

Yes they're are flashbacks. I don't think the show the particular scene you are mentioning though.

Boondock Saint 10-28-2007 06:49 PM

$31 million this weekend...hot damn.

Johnny Vegas 10-28-2007 08:04 PM

what was so gross about saw 3?

Rain Man 10-28-2007 08:34 PM

last Saw movie i will ever pay money to see

Skippord 10-28-2007 09:09 PM

I quite enjoyed that

Timothy Young in The Rack. The whole scene wasnt gross except for the part where they show an extreme closeup of his ankle literally snapping with the bone sticking out. It lasts about 3 seconds and its something I just dont wanna see ever again

I didn't find it that disturbing, hell i ate dinner while watching that scene, cracked me up though, however i did see saw 4 and quite liked the soundtrack, caught some of the movie but was to focused on the girlfriend (loves gore and it turns her on) the parts i caught were ok though

Maybe its just me, but i learned at an early age ( around 13 ) that, that kind of stuff doesnt bother me cause i know what i'm watching is fake. The scarier aspect its just the whole idea of it happening, not actually seeing it happen, to me.

That scene didnt effect me at all.

RGWhat316 10-30-2007 02:07 PM

I'm a big fan of the series so I had to go see it on opening day. I thought it was a decent movie, not the best of the 4 though. And it was a bit confusing at times. Maybe cus at first I didn't realize that it was going on at the same time as Saw 3.

Champion of Europa 10-31-2007 04:36 PM

I watched it last week and I wasn't a fan. I really liked the first one, and that was about it. The other ones just kept me amused.

This one ended me on the franchise. You can only backtrack to the other movies so often and put on a twist ending with lots of gore before it just becomes forced and mundane.

The gore was cool though.

Also, in the months leading up to it, I felt very underwhelmed by it's marketing campaign, then I realized that was my own fault. I don't watch TV, so I only see trailers for movies in the theater I work at.

I build 90% of the movies at my theater, and therefore, I decide which trailers go on the movies. Because I was growing tired of the Saw franchise, I didn't put trailers for it on any of our movies.

On the opposite end of the spectrum, No Country for Old Men is on every movie I've built. No one in Seymour, Indiana can watch a movie without knowing what No Country for Old Men is, now.

You've had a blood orgy I assume

ct2k 11-01-2007 06:42 AM

Well the critics are panning it unsurprisingly

That is honestly the only violent scene in any movie ever made that I cant watch. Every time my friends are watching that movie and it reaches that scene I just have to turn my head.

All just seems like horrible depravity for the sake of horrible depravity, there's not even a comic element to this series, its just deeply depressing, the first one was innovative and a pretty cool movie, why ruin it with 3 completely pointless sequels?

agreed

Gonzo 11-01-2007 07:16 PM

I don't even see how they can have more Saw movies. Spoiler:

Jigsaw is fucking dead, so is Amanda. They're just plugging new people in to take the place of them, with the same story with each passing movie.

It now seems like they're at the point of the same plot, repeated, and just inserting new characters into the previous characters roles.

HeartBreakMan2k 11-01-2007 07:58 PM

Isn't the Saw series going to be done by a different up and commer each movie in order to provide a "fresh" feeling to each movie? Or am I thinking of something else?

yianni 11-02-2007 08:15 AM

I've enjoyed the first three Saw movies so I'll be going to see this one. Over here it's had a fair bit of promotion in mainstream TV and also on foxtel where they show Saw I, II and III and have advertising for the fourth one just before playing the movie.
