Those of you who have modded consoles...
I'm looking in to the topic, and I'd like to get some feedback from non-Google people. Mainly looking at those who have modded 360s or Wii.
What mod method did you use? Did you do it yourself or have someone else do it? What are some of the pros/cons of the method you used? |
chances are you're xbox will get banned from live

1) Pirated Crackdown used as a key to the Halo 3 beta. 2) non-stealth games. Basically, if you're careful and only get stealth versions of games you will not get detected on Live until at least the next dashboard update. As for the Wii, used a WiiKey and it was perfect since the updates came out. Upgradable by DVD (needed for Super Mario Galaxy) and all games are playable online. |

So setting yourself up for a ban you know will happen eventually is careful? You're an idiot. |
I could see modding the Wii but I won't mod my 360. Too big of a risk of losing my live account and online is pretty much the only reason I have a 360.

Considering modding your 360 voids the warranty....and mine has broken twice with in the past year....
I think I will just stickto no mod....I probably have another Red Ring waiting for me right around the corner..... |

1. DVD Drive Firmware mod. 2. Myself 3. Xbox 360's are prone to failure, so unless you are prepared to upgrade the cooling (not just with a crappy addon) then it's likely that yours will likely fail as well. |
