I think it comes down to Lennon and Cobain, with the argument being somewhat parallel to Ali vs. Jordan. I really don't know who to pick.

Seriously, Elvis strikes a chord in a way nobody else does. The Beatles are probably a close second as a group, and Hendrix (Overrated though he is) has to be up there.

Elvis. The Beatles had the maximum chart topper albums. Jim Hendrix and Led Zepellin for their contribution to rock. Bryan Adams and Sting are really popular back in south east Asia.
