When you hear nWo, who do you think of?

Hogan and his dumb buddies that are worthless? The Kliq? Who?

Me personally, when I think of the nWo, I think of the Hall and Nash.

Mister Sinister 01-10-2008 02:42 PM

Scott "Flash" Norton

You know, the less over member of the nWo, who had a cooler Powerbomb, then the Lazy Bomb...back before it really did get Lazy

Stickman 01-10-2008 02:42 PM

Vincent

Evil Vito 01-10-2008 02:45 PM

Hogan, Hall, and Nash.

Savio 01-10-2008 02:49 PM

I think of the guitar riff "Bla na na Bla na"

You don't think of HBK?

D Mac 01-10-2008 02:51 PM

LOL you can't spell

LoDownM 01-10-2008 03:05 PM

Hall, Nash, the music.

Xero 01-10-2008 03:13 PM

Hogan, Hall and Nash.

Ninti the Mad 01-10-2008 03:19 PM

I think of all those people mugging people in the ring 20 to 1.

Heros Welcome 01-10-2008 03:26 PM

Hogan, Hall, Nash

The Music

And when Sting chopped and punched his way through 20 members.

I continue to insist, without Hall and Nash, nWo would have been a 2-month, botched Hulk Hogan heel turn.

Stickman 01-10-2008 04:02 PM

Thank God Sting didn't end up being the 3rd member.

Just playing devil's advocate, though: Without Hogan, would nWo have been an ultimately unrewarding tag team run for Hall & Nash.

TerranRich 01-10-2008 04:31 PM

First I think of "Rockhouse", then I think of Hall & Nash. Not really Hogan so much. Dunno why.

Fox 01-10-2008 04:44 PM

I think of black and white lighting effects and the original trio doing their walk down to the ring to confront The Rock.

DaveBrawl 01-10-2008 04:46 PM

Hogan, Nash, Norton, Bagwell, Steiner, Vincent and the Giant.

Don't know how Bagwell works his way in there, but he ends up in most of my WCW thoughts but it's sad and creepy. Although he was funny as Steiner's lacky.

TerranRich 01-10-2008 04:58 PM

Ugh, the black-and-white effects that WWE used made me cringe. It's like passing off a paint-by-number version of the Mona Lisa as a work of art.

Stickman 01-10-2008 05:12 PM

silver and black.

Kane Knight 01-10-2008 05:37 PM

Sting.

SammyG 01-10-2008 05:38 PM

The Outsiders, and Hogan. First thing that comes to mind is the Outsiders destroying the WCW roster backstage.

Ninti the Mad 01-10-2008 06:03 PM

viscious and delicious

Disturbed316 01-10-2008 06:07 PM

You also get mad love.

Anything related to Scott Norton will get you rep.

Hanso Amore 01-10-2008 06:50 PM

When I hear NWO, I think of Hogan dropping the leg on Savage and EVERY single wrestling fan in america dropping a load in their pants.

Xero 01-10-2008 06:51 PM

Scott Norton sucks.

BigDaddyCool 01-10-2008 06:57 PM

To me, Hall and Nash are the heart and soul of nWo. Hogan, was definately nWo, but he still sucks and is horrible and probably ruined it by bring in hit worthless friends.

To a lesser exent I accept Bischoff as nWo. Syxx/Syxx Pac/Sean Waltman/Ratboy is nWo. And maybe some dudes like Rick Rude. But that is about it. As much as I like Stiener, he is just a lump on to nWo, and barely counts.

Honestly, Hogan is the reason the NWO took off. it would never be what it is without hall and Nash though, but Hulk made them.

He also is the reason WCW died, not just the NWO.

Hogan was the shit until Starcade 97....after that the NWO should have just died.

I disagree, Hogan's ego didn't kill WCW, it was one of the biggest things to damage WCW and send it into a death spiral.

I don't know, it may not have been the defining WCW Monday Night Wars concept that it was, but they would at least have been WCW's DX.

Theo Dious 01-10-2008 08:22 PM

Incidentally, when I think of the nWo, I don't think of two dozen guys beating down someone in the ring, I don't think of Hogan with the spray-painted belt; I think of Hall and Nash showing up on WCW programming with the vague implication that they were invaders from the WWF; I think of them standing way the fuck up on the top of the stadium covering up the WCW letters. Before I even think of Hulk Hogan I think of Waltman and DiBiase showing up and filling out the ranks.

I also think of how the nWo was proof that the WWF was cooler than WCW. Basically, what was nWo vs WCW? It was a bunch of WWF stars making punks out of the established WCW guys. Look, who was the nWo in it's first days? Hall, Nash, Hogan, DiBiase, Virgil, Syxx... the Giant, as far as I can tell, was the first WCW homegrown to join up, and he was nothing more than Young Andre at that point.
