Reason why he is the greatest
 

The Rock was the best damn wrestler for the fact he dosn't comeback every month. When he left WWE he acually left, not like Austin, Foley, Hogan, ect.

Well by that logic Benoit is the greatest ever.

Not only did he leave forever, he was erased from history!

Actually, that just shows that he is actually enjoying success outside of the wrestling industry.

If you can call that success.

If you're talking Benoit? No.

If you're talking the Rock? Yes.

Actually that would make Bret the greatest....


But he already was, so this just simply cements that fact.

It was a smart move to do this and distance himself from wrestling. He's got life made not only when he was a wrestler but after too. Look at all these other legends and retired wrestlers compared to The Great One.

I don't think we will see Rock at a wrestling event in-person until he is inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame with Stone Cold Steve Austin.

Oh, so the sellout is the greatest?

Now I don't blame him for selling out. More money, less work, more mainstream fame. Who wouldn't do it? But for the record the guy sold out.

Besides, I still pop for Austin and Foley when I see them. The Rock, it has been so long I doubt if I would ever give a shit if he stepped back in the ring for any reason what so ever.

I will say, he can just rest on his laurels for the rest of his life. He's that kind of successful, he can just hang around and never really work again.

He's not the star in movies/tv/entertainment that he is in sports entertainment. I know that's sort of a "Noshitsherlocke" but being honest, I'm sure he wants ALOT more success than he has now. I use the word success over and over again because I really have no other quantifyable term, he's not a craze in the real world- he's that pro wrestler movie star guy. To smarks, he's The Fucking Rock.

Until I see him win awards or make a summer blockbuster, he's been more successful in wrestling. Either way, it's his deal.

This for me makes absolutely no sense whatsoever. The fact that a wrestler "doesn't come back every month" makes him the "best"????? :wtf:

Everyone knows where my allegiances lie, but even I wouldn't regard The Rock as the best "wrestler" and certainly not for the reason you highlight.

I would say that The Rock was one of "the best damn entertainers" wrestling has seen, but again, not because he doesn't come back every month.

I miss The Rock. But, I think he made a good choice for himself, because he was already the top guy in WWE and now he wanted to get another challenge. I think he would anytime he comes back for a cameo, if he ever does again, he would get a great reaction from everyone.

I guess he will comeback to induct grandpa johnson into the hall of fame. Rock was so damn awesome with all due respect to mike awesome.

Bret's had more to do with Vince lately than the Rock....
