According to PWInsider, after his win last night he's the first-ever 9-time Intercontinental Champion.

Well I was looking forward to a lenghty Jericho/Hardy fued, but now who should Jericho fued with? Kennedy?

I'm bored with Jericho as IC Champion. It's happened too many times for me. He's a guy who's above that belt. Let's see him in a meaningful World Title feud, that's where he belongs.

It amazes me that some people don't get what this thread is about.

Chris Jericho is the fucking man. I can see where people who think he is above the IC Title are coming from, but Jericho holding gold is pretty good for him right now. He needs something to just flaunt around since he doesn't really have too much going for him since his return. Besides being incredibly awesome, that is.

I think officially is an 8-time IC Champion with his win. Some recognise 9, though, and I am fairly certain that Jericho himself actually used to not consider his reign coming out of the co-reign with Chyna as a separate one, so 7 might even be arguable. I'm not sure, all I know is that Jericho now holds the record.

And yes, even before Jeff fucked up, Jericho has always been far and away better.
