Backlash- Laddre Match HHHVs Benoit Vs Shawn Michaels?

As was reported, the original plan for WrestleMania XX was to make the triple-threat RAW Title match a ladder match, to add even more interest. However, WWE decided later that adding the stipulation would just be overkill, since it would waste the stipulation on an event that is already expected to do strong buys, at least, according to WWE sources.
There is now talk of running a rematch between the three at Backlash, only with the added ladder stipulation. Nothing is confirmed yet, as both HHH vs. Benoit and HBK vs. Benoit have been discussed. Thus, while it seems Benoit is pretty much set for the main-event in his hometown of Edmonton, the actual match is not yet known.

I don't want them to do another Triple Threat even if it's a ladder match. I say the Backlash main event should be Benoit/HHH or Benoit/HBK ONE ON ONE

And give Benoit a clean win against either? Get out of town!

They are going with HHH vs. Benoit in a ladder match in Edmonton.

I think it will be HHH vs Benoit this way HHH wont be pinned but will lose the title because Benoit will get the title with the ladder. And it won't look like HHH has lost the match or something :-\

Technically Triple H wouldn't "lay down" in a ladder match.

So Benoit has a better chance of winning the title or retaining it.

If it is a ladder match then it's going to be HBK and Benoit... Triple H isn't known for Ladder matches while HBK has had quite a few good ladder matches.

best solution IMO: put Trips in a different Main Event slot. Give him, I don't know, a street fight against Mick Foley, so he can still think of himself as a draw, then let Benoit and HBK fight it out with ladders

I know I have just proven that people do not read threads properly as well as chose to believe what they like but dude, it's HHH vs. Benoit in Edmonton in a ladder match 100%.

Benoit vs HHH or Benoit vs HBK would be fine with me.

HHH vs Rock at SummerSlam '98 i believe it was? HHH will do fine in a ladder match against Benoit. Plus I'd rather see HHH do another job two PPV's in a row...

Although.... How about HHH and Benoit goes as the main event like Rob says it will? And the WWE gets Bret back for Backlash, and hypes a possible confrontation between him and Shawn?

I was hoping that they were gonna do that at WM. But I guess if we have to wait another month then its ok.

Yeah the thinking is they are doing HHH vs Benoit in a Ladder Match, we'll see, anything can change, but yeah thats the plan.

I guess that means they'll hold off HBK-Benoit until June, which seems really far off, but ti makes sense storyline wise. The only problem is who do they have to feed to HBK between now and then?

Its sad that on both shows they have these two awesome champions, but between the two shows there is only one credible main event heel (assuming Angle is out), and his name is HHH.

Plus he has a WWE film project that he will be the star of (Which is what he is rumored to be filming during late spring/early summer), and I heard a rumor that he might be considered to play Conan the Barbarian.
