Brothers playing for different countries? Has to be a first

Australian coach Frank Farina has called up Christian Vieri's younger brother Massimiliano, for the international friendly against South Africa.
Max Vieri is currently out on loan at Napoli from Juventus, but has not been a regular for the Serie B club.

Vieri holds dual nationality for both Australia and Italy, but was unlikely to force his way into Giovanni Trapattoni's thoughts.

Should Vieri impress in the game there is a chance he will be included in Farina's Olympic squad for the summer.

This would be a major boon for a player who has found himself out of favour for his club, where Davide Dionigi and Gianluca Savoldi have been the regular strike partnership.

Just a few weeks ago another Italian with dual nationality, Massimo Margiotta, was called up for Venezuela.

Yeah I remember from Champ Man that Vieri had second nationality Australian. Strange, wonder what rootes he has in Australia. Can't think of any other instance of this either.

Yeh and he lived there into his early teens so he can speak pretty good English.

I remember in Sensible World of Soccer when you could pick Viduka for Croatia.

You can do that with any non capped player in Championship Manager now

Nah, he was born in Italy and moved at the age of 3 because his father ran a football team.
