Trish and Christian...

Do you think this will be the begining of a major push for Christian? Or will Trish be a sexy anchor that keeps him down? I mean a win at wrestlemainia over a former world champion (first ever unified champion), he is finally using the unprettier. He most likely won't me stuck in tag team hell with Trish (unlike he has been with Jericho or Edge). Could this be his big break?

Hear is a though, maybe he could start up a heel stable of his own, called the Peeps or something, it could include Trish, Storm...maybe even Dawn Marrie(spelling?).

Mr. JL 03-16-2004 08:31 PM

In due time Christian will one day become a main eventer. But sadly I am led to believe that once his feud with Jericho is over that he will go on to do nothing and he'll be stuck alongside Booker & RVD in the mid card ranks.

I think a good feud with HBK would serve Christian fairly well after his feud with Jericho. I bet HBK-Christian match would be MOTY quality.

The Naitch 03-16-2004 08:56 PM

As long as this leads to Jericho talking to Trish like he did to Steph way back in 2000, this angle will serve a purpose.

I miss his face promos

BigDaddyCool 03-16-2004 09:08 PM

Christian is so underrated on the mic, and hopefully Jericho and Christian will have the best verbal fued of the year.

The Naitch 03-16-2004 09:11 PM

that would rule

BasicThuganomics 03-16-2004 09:16 PM

Christian and Jericho are capable of stealing the show on any given night. This fued could turn out to be the best one all year long.

About Christian though, the only thing that isn't so good for him in this fued is that Jericho will most likely be the one who goes over. But since I am a fan of Jericho, I am ok with this. However, Christian desperately needs to go over someone after he is done fueding with Jericho.

Funky Fly 03-16-2004 09:33 PM

Christian is never gonna main event.

He's a great worker, and I think he could do it, but since when does a fan's opinion count for crap?

Mikey 03-16-2004 09:43 PM

I remember a few years ago people said that about Eddie Guerrero and now look at him

Rock Bottom 03-16-2004 10:32 PM

I  Christian. I hope he gets pushed. The win over Jericho was big, but, Trish will more than likely bog him down, and I think they're going to book Jericho over Christian. I doubt Christian will ever be main-event, but you never know. There are alot of shoes to fill lately.

HHHsucks929 03-16-2004 11:39 PM

Christian jsut gets better every week. This storyline is great for his career; I hope he gets pushed now that they need more main event stars.

if that happens i will multiple markgasm

i'll never forget.. steph and rhyno standing next to each other and jericho in front of them

"At summerslam I am going to beat that nasty, filthy, greasy animal... and i'll get you too Rhyno"

John la Rock 03-17-2004 12:16 AM

Hey Guerrero is WWE Champ, Benoit is World Champ...

Why can't Christian be champ?

The CyNick 03-17-2004 12:50 AM

Christian is in a good spot right now. He got a big win at Mania, he has a sexy broad on his arm, and he's getting more TV time. I really liked his match with Jericho at Mania, and I think they'll have a helluva fued.

I think he's a ways away from main eventing, but with Benoit as the World Champ, or Eddie as the WWE Champ (if he winds up on SD), he can have some Title matches where he comes close, but doesn't win. That will at least give people the idea that he's close.

Not sure how well the Trish heel turn will work, but I guess we'll see over the next couple of months.

BigDaddyCool 03-17-2004 10:59 AM

Now it would be nice if after this angle plays out, Christian dumps Trish for some other hot broad or soemthing like that, he could get even more heat...but now I'm thinking way ahead.

But the fact remains, Christian has beaten a 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time, 5 time WCW champion on a number of occasions, the first ever Unified World Champion, been a tag team champion like 7 or 8 time, been an IC, and Cruiserwieght (guess it was Light-Heavy Weight) Champion...why not just have him beat Beniot next week.

tucsonspeed6 03-17-2004 12:22 PM

Remember: This is the company that can find a way to make sure that neither guy in a feud gets over. (Think Christian vs. DDP) I'm sure that Jericho will someday get back to main event status, but Christian seems like the type that will stay down for a long time. He's great on the mic and all, but Vince doesn't like little guys. I don't want him to beef up either, so I don't know what will make me happy.....Oh yeah, now I do. The 5 second pose. Turn it into the 5 second peep show and you've got me at least partially satisfied... or should I say Stratusfied.

No, No...I was right the first time when I knew this joke wasn't going to work in the other thread. I am full of shame and will now perform sepoku.

Cactus Sid 03-17-2004 12:33 PM

I'll tell you this now, from the reactions on Raw and at Mania, Christian is in a great position, because people really do hate him now, and thats fantastic heat to have.

Corkscrewed 03-18-2004 12:51 AM

So far, this feud has been awesome. They haven't made a single wrong move IMO and I hope this keeps up. My only concern is that this turns into X-Pac vs Kane, where it drags on for half a year and eventually, people are just sick of it. However, if they keep on rolling like they have been lately, that shouldn't happen.

Christian COULD main event, but it will take a while. He'll definitely be an upper midcarder. He'd make an awesome IC champ.

Don't forget Hardcore Champion (Not a big accomplishment, but still...)

I say Xtian should take the King of the Ring this year. That'll set him up for great things...

When it was the InVasion angle with Rock and Jericho:

Oh Chris Jericho the Rock understands here this is like a rhyming contest. Well here's one for you, Booker T and Shane, The punk-ass sucka and the silver spoon mothafuc.ka.

Oh Ok Rock I mean look what you've got in the ring. I mean it's a man beast (rhyno) and a hoes beast, I mean we're talking about the gore and the whore.

Classic shit

Stickman 03-18-2004 01:53 AM

There is no king of the ring

Hate to break it to you, but King of the Ring is gone now since the WWE started doing spilt PPV's.

Aussie Skier 03-18-2004 04:09 AM

the one thing that counts agaisnt christian unfortunatly is his height.
i think he is only 5'10 or 5'11.

however, i would have no problem with being a main-eventer, and i could see him possibly being the shawn michaels of the naughties.
I mean, he has been a heel most of his career (like Michaels), is short, good build (like michaels), and has a variety of different moves, also like michaels.

My only prob is whether he can realistically take on big guys like taker, kane, angle etc...

what do u ppl think>?

Wondermouse 03-18-2004 04:43 AM

WWE lists Christian as 6'1", same as Ric Flair and Shawn Michaels, and an inch shorter than Steve Austrin.

Shaggy 03-18-2004 04:49 AM

I think its great that he is finally getting the push that he has needed. Do I see him in the main event facing people like The Rock and Triple H, Nope, But then again I didnt really see Eddie Guerrero in that way either and look at him now. Now that WWE has put the belt on Eddie I cant think of mid carders in that way anymore. Now I know that there is a chance to put someone you never thought would hold on the title with the title.

Tornado 03-18-2004 05:39 AM

<font color=33ffff>I like Christian, he plays the cocky heel role perfectly. This feud has been going on for a fair amount of time now, and has so far been booked pretty damn well, which is a rarity for the WWE. Hopefully this is the beginning of bigger and better things for Christian.</font>

BasicThuganomics 03-18-2004 10:58 AM

I think that hopefully WWE will realize that people in the midcard who are just as good, if not better, than some of the current main eventers are capable of being taken serioulsy in the main event. Eddie Guerrero was always seen as someone who was obviously good enough, but never given the chance. Hopefully WWE will realize that people such as Christian and Jericho are capable of more than upper midcard and being taken seriously. I think that Christian and Jericho especially have always been top notch in whatever roles that they played but have just never been pushed to the top. (Jericho was, but we all know how shitty that turned out) I hope that WWE starts to take other midcarders more seriously now because of the success of people like Benoit and Eddie Guerrero.

King Jericho 03-18-2004 11:03 AM

I think Christian is awesome and has what it takes, its just with his ring work he puts the other guy over, he always does, he makes the other guy look good so that sometimes Christian can look bad, which is a bad thing.

But hopefully this angle with Trish will put him where he deserves

Yeah, that has always been the problem with Christian, he is always the one who ends up putting the other guy over. I said earlier that he desperately needs a fued that he can go over in if he is to be takeb seriously. While Jericho will most likely be the one to goover in this fued, Christian HAS to fued with someone else and go over after he is done with Jericho. I don't think that Trish will hold down Christian like she would have Jericho really though.

Eddie Guerrero is 5'8". Chris Benoit is 5' 10". Chris Jericho is also about 5'10". So is Shawn Michaels. I don't think height is a factor, unless you're Taz, who really looks short and pudgy.

The Naitch 03-18-2004 01:49 PM

how tall is Rey Mysterio? I hear 5'3, 5'5, 5'6....whats the delio?????

HHHsucks929 03-18-2004 03:32 PM

Christian's size is NOT a problem. He's bigger than Jericho, Benoit, Guerrero, Flair, Michaels, and even Bret Hart, so that's definitely not a problem. It's all a matter of a great storlyine getting him voer as either a face or a heel, and that's what's happening right now. I'm starting to really like Christian as a character and a wrestler...

Volchok 03-18-2004 04:41 PM

Yeah im like 5'11 and im only 15... lol so.. yeah size shouldnt really matter and in due time Christian will get a World title shot.. i mean Jeff Hardy even got a world title shot.. lost but still got it. okay im done rambling
