Shinedown's new album "The Sound of Madness"

I was wondering if any of you guys have picked it up and what your thoughts were.

I think this is their best album yet, and it amazes me how much they have improved since their original album.

I have not listened to any of their albums yet, but I think I am going to pick this one up as ppl have been recommending it.

It really has something for everyone. It has some "hard" tracks, "soft" tracks, and tracks that are in the middle of the road.

I will cum all over it.

Sounds like they didn't know where to go, honestly. Still enjoyable, not not a threat to their debut.

Alot better than Us & Them, the first two tracks are certainly the best of the album. All songs are good, glad it didn't fade away through the album like the last one, after the first five there wasn't anything decent, nice to see that not happening on this one.

One of the worst bands i've ever seen live. Me and my buddies decided to leave during there set and hang out at the beer stand trying to talk chicks into showing there tits. This band sucks so much balls

To each their own, but I saw them live and loved it and I saw plenty of titties.

Yeah, pretty much my thoughts, too. I was expecting it to at least be better than the second album. But even the second had a few songs I liked. But nothing stands out on here. Listened to it twice, and nothing stood out. Except for that first slower song. Which stood out because I didn't like it. Was too slow and soft. just didn't mesh well with the rest of the album.

So kinda dissapointed here. I did not ejacualte all over it, as promised.

I still plan to give it a few more spins, just to see if it's got anything that grows on me. A couple of the bonus tracks (I bought the LE) are pretty good, but I will certainly not judge the record based on extra material.

darkpower 07-18-2008 10:47 PM

I didn't get the LE, but I do have the album, and I thoroughly enjoyed it. I've found myself getting into just about every song on the album. Heard Us & Them wasn't as good as their first one, so I'm glad alot of people believe they got back to what they were doing to begin with.

Disturbed316 07-23-2008 09:38 AM

Anyone got a link to the LE songs?

MVP 07-24-2008 11:31 PM

Is that the album with "Devour"? That song makes me want to punch kittens.

Just downloaded it.

Pretty good cd, I'm more of a fan of the faster and harder tracks, all 4 of them, which is less than half. "Sin with a grin" is my most favorite on the new album.
