Shoulder injuries are a massive pain, let me tell you. So yeah, let's all make fun of Kennedy for suffering this.
It's only a few weeks, so it shouldn't derail Kennedy that much. Hopefully they run some kind of injury angle where Shelton Benjamin shows off some of his "meanstreak," and takes out Kennedy. Add Benjamin to the Hardy vs. MVP match at Summerslam, and put the US Title on the line. Then have Kennedy return and chase the belt in a hyped up feud. Or, better yet, have Kennedy return by costing Benjamin the US Title to some face (maybe a turned Chavo Guerrero, or R-Truth), and then have Kennedy and Benjamin have sort of a Rock/Austin feud, where the aim is to elevate both men. Kennedy is a damn good talent, so hopefully he gets better soon. |

By the way, I'm starting to get a handle on his new face character, which makes it a lot more tolerable. Basically try and imagine Kennedy as Dexter Morgan, only instead of serial killing, he's into showmanship. He's a natural show-boater, so there's always an urge to please the fans. When he does, though, he loses opportunities and takes some harsh losses.
There's a part of Kennedy that is wise enough to not hang his hat on the fans, and when that takes over, Kennedy is at his most successful. But somehow, the showman always work his way back in. |
Just thought I'd throw out that I'm loving Shelton Benjamin at the moment. It's sort of related, as Kennedy is the guy he is feuding with, and this was a double-post and I needed to edit it to something.

I see Kennedy more like the Riddler. He's not inherently evil, he just thrives on attention. If he can get it in the form of love, that's perfect. But, if he has to torment the world the captivate them, then so be it.
