Didn't they announce a few months ago that the winner of the Rumble would no longer get a shot at WM, but at the next PPV?

Did they? That would suck; it would be breaking years of tradition.

Not that I can remember.

Its not like the WWE to make storyline related announcments months in advance anyway.

Wouldn't suprise me if they are planning on doing it though.

I dont see why they wouldn't do what they did last year; have 15 guys from each brand and say 'the winner gets a title shot at their brands' champion at Mania'. Hopefully this year that also means that match actually gets to be the main event.

Think it was just a storyboard er...story. Wasn't announced in-show, so to speak.

They'll probably do it that way though for the winner he'll get a shot at his respective show's next PPV

Thats how I remember it being told. Im checking out some old news boards and stuff to see if im right. Hope I'm wrong as it will ruin it for me

Last year they had the Rumble with the split, Brock won.

I recall seeing someone write an angle on these boards that had an angle similar to that.

I guess we will know soon. Since it is the next PPV

I don't think that was ever announced. It's the winner of the Royal Rumble gets a title shot in his respective brand at Wrestlemania. If a SD! wrestler wins, he gets a shot at whoever is the WWE Champ by then. if a Raw wrestler wins, he gets a shot at Triple H.
