The Punisher commercial theme song
 

Yeah, have any of you guys seen the commercial for the movie "The Punisher"?

If so, do you guys know what song is playing in the background. I just seen the commercial and the song sounds pretty good, so I was wondering if any of you guys could help me out... thx in advance.

If its the same commercial im thinking of its Step Up by Drowning Pool. Same song that was played for Wrestlemania XX

I like Seether but it sucks. I like evanescence but it sucks. I can say it in another language if you like but the answer is still the same.

I'm gonna have to agree with Rob. Regardless of which band the song belongs to, it sucks.

I havent heard a full version...so I can't pass judgement.

The song is " So Far Away " by Staind. It's not on the movies actual soundtrack. The same type thing was done for the movie The Girl Nextdoor , they used a song by The Darkness called " I believe in a Thing called love " and it wasn't on the soundtrack. Maybe this is common practice but it's something I have just recently noticed.

They did the same thing for XXX. They had Breaking Me Down by Soil on there and its not in the movie or on the soundtrack. That song was the greatest song out of anything on the cd or movie.

I picked up The Punisher soundtrack and was a little disappointed. It's got alot of good rock bands, but most of them are all slow songs. But I mainly got it for Drowning Pool "Step Up", love that song. And an added bonus, also on there is Kane's WWE theme by Finger Eleven which was supposed to be on Forceable Entry, but now its on a non-WWE cd.

the only one ive heard is so far away by stained...but i think ive only seen one trailer.

It's a very common practice. Another good example is Starship troopers, which used Song#2 by Blur...

almost every movie in existence has used O fortuna, and it never makes it to the actual movie...
