There was alot of talk about the Lex in the Cena post so what do you think Luger Yay Or Nay? I didnt see much of his early WCW work but I did like the Made in the USA gimmick. They was the obiously trying to make him into the major face in to company but for some reason they had him lose to Yoko at WMX and he eventually went back to WCW. I liked him when he was a heel as just "The Total Package" with Miss Liz. He kinda dissapeared after WCW folded and surfaced when Ms. Liz passed away in 2003 and as "one of Stings possible partners" in 2005. I heard he had a major stroke in 2007 and was paralyzed but is working his way back to full mobility. Best of luck to Lex and I'll say YAY to The Total Package and Yay to the Man Made in America.

Dang it forgot to add a poll, sry :'(

Early WCW: Big Yay

WWF: YAY

WCW (95-98) YAY

Anything After: Big Nay

Total: Yay

lol somebody told me last night Lex Luger was their favorite wrestler.

BigDaddyCool 10-23-2008 02:21 PM

I've never seen the attraction. So nay.

Ben Rodrigues 10-23-2008 03:54 PM

I enjoyed his made in the USA thing. Was even happier though when at the 1994 Royal Rumble when the fans were silent when it was announced that he won initially, but popped when they announced Bret was the winner.

To add a poll, check under Thread Tools. Should still be available.

"I don't know" damn well better be the "Meh" option.

Ben Rodrigues 10-23-2008 04:09 PM

His WWF theme after 'Stars and Stripes' was pretty cool though.

Gertner 10-23-2008 04:09 PM

I hated Luger, but yay. Can't deny his accomplishments.

thedamndest 10-23-2008 04:17 PM

My introduction to Luger was at the 1993 Royal Rumble. I wasn't too impressed with "The Narcissist" as a kid, and didn't really mark for "Made in the USA" Lex, so his WWF run didn't do it for me as a kid (especially since after Wrestlemania X he was out of the ME and feuding with Tatanka). The whole thing was underwhelming.

Being able to access his early WCW work, and having seen a lot of his second WCW run, I would say those are pretty good. I'll give him a yay for WCW, but nay for WWF.

BigDaddyCool 10-23-2008 04:19 PM

What were his accomplishments?

thedamndest 10-23-2008 04:22 PM

Co-winning the Royal Rumble and a bunch in WCW.

AKin3D 10-23-2008 04:44 PM

Nay. When I think about him these 5 things are all that come to mind.

1-That stupid bus
2-Being buddies with Sting
3-Being a Psycho
4-The whole Miss Elizabeth thing.
5- This huge "HOW?! WTF?" moment

That was Rick Steiner, or were you talkin about his no talent brother? I think his name is Jermaine or Tito Steiner. Something like that :shifty:

thedamndest 10-23-2008 11:11 PM

I totally marked for that Taker bit as a kid, though looking at it now if you had the view from the back it would totally look like has was getting a pop for flashing his cock at the crowd.

I'm NAYing Flexy Lexy the abyssmal worker. I'm NAYing Flexy Lexy the guy who may have murdered Ms. Elizabeth. I'm NAYing the guy who was pushed to the moon as Hogan 2.0 but never deserved it. I'm NAYing the guy who was reason one as to why I hated Sting: He proved that Sting was the stupidest wrestler EVER (until Samoa Joe stole that title from him.).

In that case, yeah. I am flat out NAYing Flexy Lexy. That being said, the Torture Rack was pretty cool.

PorkSoda 10-24-2008 02:21 AM
