BigDaddyCool 10-30-2008 10:32 AM

He isn't any thing special.

Juan 10-30-2008 07:56 PM

I'm sure he'll be back once his injury is cleared up.

D Mac 10-31-2008 02:36 AM

So if he went to TNA could he use the name Kennedy?

Juan 10-31-2008 03:49 AM

Doubtful since his real name is Ken Anderson.

D Mac 10-31-2008 01:42 PM

You can't put a patent on a regular human name can you? Even if it's not your real name.

Xero 10-31-2008 04:06 PM

They can trademark it, yes, and they can enforce it, at least pertaining to wrestling.

The only way someone can get around it is if they came along and it was their real name.

I'm not sure about a legal name change, though. I'm sure it can be tried in court if he changed his name to Ken Kennedy and TNA used it but I'm not sure which way it would go.

Rammsteinmad 02-01-2009 08:47 AM

Ken Kenedy. With one N. Problem solved.

So I could make a superhero whose real name is Clark Kent or Peter Parker? Sweet!

You're dicing with a legal name change. It comes down to the courts, though it seems they often side with the name change.

Same with different spellings.

Lock Jaw 02-01-2009 01:41 PM

Ben Bennedy.

Krimzon7 02-01-2009 06:16 PM

Yeah, didn't it work with Warrior once he changed his name?

Xero 02-02-2009 04:39 PM

He didn't change his name to "Ultimate Warrior", tough.

Ironicially, that sounds less crazy than "Warrior Warrior".

Also, Chyna changed its name to Chyna. TNA hasn't picked it up yet, though.

You mean the persona where he says his name?

Xero 02-02-2009 06:57 PM

More that he gets AWAY from his fan's ass kissing persona.

Chyna hasn't wrestled in TNA since her name change though, has she? I haven't watched TNA recently, but I thought she hadn't been in the ring for a couple of years.

Sorry, Hexagon.

Xero 02-03-2009 09:43 AM

It was never in TNA.

Kane Knight 02-03-2009 11:05 AM

I thought she was. Maybe I just assumed they'd make that decision.

Xerzes 02-04-2009 03:33 AM

Fairly certain her band performed on one of their shows once. Think that was it.

screech 02-04-2009 07:41 PM

When I met him last month at a DVD signing, he said he'd be back in late February/early March.

Yeah.

Agreed 100%

Kennedy, like many other wrestlers before him, simply did transition well into a face...due to the fact that his personna completely lost its charisma upon the face turn....and as result..alienated the fans that enjoyed his character as a heel.

Sadly enough, the WWE are not learning from their mistakes in this area.
