Dream Card Suggestions

Before I get into the post proper, I would like to declare that I am no longer a Stupid Noob. Today is a start of a new era, and you should come to know and fear When I actually post...

Latverian Heat! :shifty:

Yes, I'm a comic book dork at times. Now, onto the actual post:
_________________________________________________________________

Ok, I was throwing some names of dream matches off the wall with a friend and got some pretty good reactions from them. So, I'll bring this to TPWW for what I'm sure will be the 3,000 time out of 9,234,290.34 :p

My ideas, if all are in their prime:

Greg Gagne vs. Randy Orton (Please don't get this, LC...)

Rockers vs. Rock N Roll Express vs. Hardyz in a Battle for the Teenybopper fanbase

World's Greatest Tag Team vs. Minnesota Wrecking Crew

Edge and Christian vs. Midnight Express

Eddie Guerrero vs. Tito Santana (and if Bobby Heenan calls this one, all the better!)

Tully Blanchard vs. Dean Malenko

Rock vs. Sting in what will be the first of two matches for both men.

Mick Foley vs. Jerry "The King" Lawler Inferno Match, first of 2 for Foley.

Ultimate Warrior vs. Lex Luger in a battle of the muscled up worthless assholes, also first of 2 matches for the Warrior.

"Stone Cold" Steve Austin vs. Jake "the Snake" Roberts in a battle of the Anti-Heroes

Vader vs. Mike Awesome

Chris Benoit vs. Dynamite Kid

Hulk Hogan vs. "Superstar" Billy Graham, first of 2 matches for Hogan

Rick Rude vs. Val Venis

Ricky Steamboat vs. Mr. Perfect

"Macho Man" Randy Savage vs. Magnum TA in the first of two matches for Savage

Main Event:
Rock n Sock Connection vs. Megapowers vs. Blade Runners for Best Megateam of all time

Ideas, suggestions, put downs, post them below.

Austin/ Roberts has already happened and the Vader/ Awesome match I could do without, but the rest is pretty good.

The Dub 03-23-2004 01:05 PM

How about the battle of the mainstays with Sting (WCW) facing the Undertaker (WWE)? It'd have to be crow Sting, though.

Steiners vs. LOD vs. Dudleyz in a triple threat would be great also.

Vastardikai 03-23-2004 01:18 PM

I'm aware of the Roberts/Austin match having already occurred. However, that one was more of Jake "Passing the Anti-Hero Torch" to Stone Cold. I was talking about Stone Cold, around that time, facing a Jake Roberts who was just as, if not more, over as Hulk Hogan.

Sting/Undertaker could be good. LOD vs. Dudleyz in A Chicago Street Fight would rock. Maybe put the Steiners in something of a Four Way Dance: them, WGTT, Minnesota Wrecking Crew, and Hollywood Blondes.

holy crap! Why did we never think of a "dream card" thread before?

And The Road Warriors are where????

Lamuella 03-23-2004 01:37 PM

I think maybe he meant "megateam" as 2 established stars forming a team. Neither Road Warrior was big outsaide the team.

Only one of these matches is still actually possible, but I like them all
for different reasons (the last one being just the impressive part of it).

Johnny Barend & Gorgeous George vs. Bruno Sammartino & Ilio DiPaolo

100% Pure Wrestling Match: Brad Rheingans vs. Kurt Angle :y:

Jeep Swenson vs. The Warlord (just to see them both at once  )

10-Team, 2-Generation, 2-Ring Tag Team Battle Royal featuring:
Dusty & Dustin Rhodes; Ric & David Flair; Vince & Shane McMahon;
Rocky Johnson & The Rock; Chavo Guerrero Sr. & Chavo Guerrero Jr.;
Randy & Bob Orton Jr.; Brian & Bob Armstrong; Scott & Ivan Putski;
Jerry Lawler & Brian Christopher; and Teddy "Hart" & B.J. Annis

No arguments. I simply forgot about them. :nono:

I also didn't really have a good opponent for them in mind until Rabid mentioned the Dudleyz.

While I'm at it, throw in Kurt Angle vs. Barry Windham.

Have World's Greatest Tag Team face the Steiners (would probably be a better match than the Minnesota Wrecking Crew)

Minnesota Wrecking Crew against... I dunno. Anyone have a good idea? Doc and Bam Bam, perhaps?

tucsonspeed6 03-23-2004 04:16 PM

Goldberg v. Gilberg

OssMan 03-23-2004 04:28 PM

Chris Benoit vs Doink, 60 minute Iron man match

Ferocious 03-23-2004 08:54 PM

Flair, Bret Hart, Kurt Angle, Ken Shamrock, Chris Benoit, Jericho vs Triple H in a submission match with the stipulation that the losing team leaves professional wrestling for good

But in actual fact Triple H would probably bury someone with a half hearted megasell nipple twister. so the whole excersise would be pointless

Ferocious 03-23-2004 08:56 PM

Id love to see Big Show vs Yokozuna vs Mark Henry vs Viscera in a fatal 4 way iron man match because it wouldnt be boring in the slightest

glycerine 03-23-2004 09:46 PM

anybody against Tripple H where tripple H jobs..

anybody

please...

Fox 03-23-2004 11:42 PM

Here's my dream card (and I don't care if some of these matches have already happened, this is just my idea of a perfect wrestling event):

Chris Benoit vs. The Dynamite Kid

Bret "Hitman" Hart vs. Kurt Angle

Goldberg vs. Stone Cold Steve Austin

Triple H vs. "Macho Man" Randy Savage (in his prime)

The Undertaker vs. Sting

The Rock vs. Hollywood Hulk Hogan

NO HOLDS BARRED "King of ECW" MATCH
Mick Foley vs. Raven vs. The Sandman

Rob Van Dam vs. Jerry Lynn

Rey Mysterio vs. Eddie Guerrero

The Outsiders (Kevin Nash & Scott Hall) vs. The New Age Outlaws

As long as the man behind the Doink makeup is Matt Bourne, and he is evil.

Evil Doink had a MARVELOUS serious of Matches against Mr. Perfect for a spot in the '93 King of the Ring.
