Thats a tough choice, I love both.
But. The Rock was the reason I got back into wrestling after I stopped watching for awhile. |
Well I am a maple syrup sucking mother canucker, but Rocky.
As much as I like Lance Storm, Rock was MUCH more entertaining.
If you smellllllllllllllll
what the rock is Cookin' |
HBM smelled what the socks were cooking
If I could be serious for a minute...
... I smell what The Rock is cooking.
Sure The rock is a legend for what he did for the WWF, but I think it's pretty obvious that Lance Storm had more wrestling ability in his left pinky than the Rock did in his entire body.
The Rock wins the charisma round though.
Wait, are we supposed to vote on who is the better actual wrestler or is the better wrestler in the full sense of the word (like everything, in-ring, promos, charisma)?
Cause I've been voting using the latter for like all of them. |
I think you are free to use whatever criteria you want.
I usually vote for the actual BETTER WRESTLER.
Rocky is going to the HoF.

I'm having a hard time voting on this though. I know The rock is the right choice here, but I can't bring myself to vote against Storm. I wish we still had the draw option. :(
Loved Storm, but come on.
LANCE STORM.
Well, I love Lance Storm in a heterosexual way. And The Rock is The Rock. I can't decide on this one.
.... Let's say that Lance gets my vote. I always looked forward to seeing him around. The Rock I occasionally became tired and bored of when he was a face (although now that he is gone, I have learned to appreciate what I previously found boring... cause even in those times The Rock was nine times better than Cena or Batista). |
Actually, screw that. My own statements have swayed me. I'm voting for The Rock.
Lance storm is awesome in every catagory in my opinion. His promo's in WCW and ECW were not the most charisma-filled. That just isn't his persona. But the way he worked his heel characters, in a way to make them hate him more due to his technique in addressing the audience is what makes a wrestler really good.
I don't need to justify in-ring. I am voting for Lance. He was never going to be main event in WWE or WCW. He just isn't overblown, or nearly big enough to fit the bill. But he was a great main eventer in ECW, which was the edgier show with the more disearning wrestling fanbase at the time, and was just ideal in the role of a great midcarder. He drew big heat with his gimmick and worked top quality matches, all whilst being minimal, and real life believable in his character. |
Ah, the "wrestling vs. sports entertainment" debate. In terms of putting butts in seats and keeping the crowd alive both in the ring and on the mic, the Rock is miles ahead. But when it comes to actual in-ring skills and putting on unique matches, Storm takes the cake.
All things considered, the Rock was the better performer on most fronts. However, I voted for Storm based on the fact that the thread is "Better Wrestler" and I'm big on semantics. |
Storm, on the simple fact that he is the BETTER WRESTLER.
Wow. Didnt expect this.
Rock. I mean, come on. Storm is/was great and I know how much the IWC enjoy masturbating over him but it's The Rock
You people are terrible.

Rock.
I had a rant typed out, but it doesn't matter. this game will always be who do you like better no matter what |
The Rock's wrestling style, while less technical or varied, is more entertaining and thus considered higher quality in the context of the situation, and by virtue of being higher quality in context can likewise be considered "better."
Rock
I've looked back on Storm's work in 2000 recently and he should have made it to the very top but didn't, for that reason Rock edges it for me. |
I'm going to look at this one in terms of which wrestler I would rather have on my card as a booker. That's The Rock, easily.
Now, I understand that Lance Storm was a great technical wrestler and his S.H.I.T. title stuff in WCW was pretty hilarious. I'd also give a nod to his work with The Impact Players ( *cough* better tag team selection *cough*), but he never really DID it for me for some odd reason. Also, I refuse to vote for anyone who delivered as weak of a chair shot as Lance Storm did to Rob Van Dam at ECW's first pay per view, Barely Legal. Especially up against a guy who delivered something like eleven of the most brutal chair shots of all time in ONE MATCH against Mick Foley at 1999's Royal Rumble. |

I can use whatever criteria I want.

I'm aware. I make these things. I'm merely making a joke
I'm merely no selling.

I'm merely going to bury you

I have pull with Destor, so good luck.
