DJ Gabriel - Awesome or not awesome?

I'm already a mark for the guy, and I really don't even know why. I think it's just the theme music and that 'grab the ankles and spin around before tossing' move. The jacket also reminds me of Alex Wright, whom I was a huge mark for.

Thoughts?

Also, is he supposed to be a heel or a face? I can't really tell.

He's pretty awesome, but he is no Alex Wright when it comes to Dancing.

That's Dancing, with a capital D.

What DJ Gabriel does is referred to as dANCING.

I think they're letting the live crowds decide because they haven't really established it either way. And yes, he is pretty awesome. That European Uppercut from the second rope is also pretty awesome.

He hasn't really done anything heelish. He wins matches clean. He's done nothing but profess his passion for dancing. The only way he can be a heel is if people find that incredibly annoying. Personally, I think he's got some sweet moves.

I think he's pretty good in the ring. Rather unique style. I'll give his character a little more time but it seems like a dead end to me.

I'm not going to say awesome, but he very well could turn out to be. I haven't seen enough of him to judge yet. Also, Juan is correct. The WWE are letting the fans decide whether they want to boo or cheer DJ Gabriel.

On one hand, the man is really entertaining, and is winning matches clean. On the other, it does seem like a ridiculous and pretentious thing to do -- dancing while you're wrestling. I'm hoping that the fans bite one way or another, but right now, I think ECW needs more faces.

Scotty 2 Hotty and R-Truth don't catch any flack for dancing...but Alex Wright and Disco Inferno did. Do wrestling fans love or hate dancing? The world may never know.

Maybe it's because all Scotty 2 Hotty and R-Truth could do was dance?

That was a thread discussion the qualities that compose the existence of DJ Gabriel. This is merely about whether or not those qualities are awesome or not.
