Douglas was one of those guys who was just destined to stay in places like ECW. Talented enough to have a semi-decent career, but constantly getting in his own way by pissing off the people who would have given him a decent shot. Even without the sappy 'Dean Douglas' gimmick, I doubt he would've lasted in the WWF much longer than he did.

As for today, I'd love to see him come back as a manager or announcer, but not in any in-ring capacity.

BDC, do you ever get sick of reciting what they want you to believe? Sure, maybe he has an average "look" and ring skills, but that hasn't stopped anyone from getting to the top, or close to it, before.
It's politics, and he was an outcast politically in the company. Whether or not that was his own fault is the debate, but don't blame it on him being unworthy in a fair and righteous system.

No. Shane Douglas sucks. He's a one-trick pony who just get's on the mic, says "fuck you" a lot and does the default "talk shit about Vince" promo, and then acts like he's the greatest wrestler that ever lived.

I mean it was good the first time he done it, but after hearing it 189 billion billion times, it kinda makes John Cena look fresh.

i've said this before and I'll say it repeatedly, you can always tell when someone knows they aren't the best, because they have to constantly slander the best.

I remember a few years back when he was a TNA interviewer and interviewed Jeff Jarret with the NWA Championship. The only thing that went through my mind was "this guy was so high and might years ago that he threw that belt to the ground and spit on it...now here he is again, but as the current champions bitch."

I think he's fine where he is now...finding low-low prices every day.
