For ROH followers *Plus douchebag fan suing Aries and ROH*
What did you think of Austin Aries joining up with Jimmy Jacobs last night along with the Tyler Black face turn?
|
I am extremely intrigued by what's to come of this.
|
I don't follow ROH, but in my EWR game I turned Tyler Black face like a year ago and put him in a tag team with "That 70's Guy" Joey Ryan called Time Warp. OK, cya later.

Going to be interesting to see Aries as a heel
|
The crowd was electric for that turn. But they were more electric when a fan attacked Austin Aries after that and the refreee beat the shit out of the guy.
When the ref came back into the ring the whole crowd was bowing to him and chanting "next World Champ" to the ref it was fun. |

So if the kid touched Aries first, then he has no case. |
you put your hands on a wrestler, you're fair game

Everything I've read says that the fan touched Aries first. Some reports say that he grabbed him, others say that he tried to chop him, etc.
Also, correct me if I'm wrong, but this isn't the first time Aries has had serious issues with fans.... Or maybe I'm thinking of Delirious. I'm really curious to see where they go with Aries and Jacobs. The face turn for Tyler makes sense though. Aries and Jacobs are great at getting heat... Tyler is awesome, but people want to cheer him. |
Shit like that never happens to marks.
Smarks have some sense of entitlement at shows. Im glad that fucker got popped. |
HE'S HARDCORE! HE'S HARDCORE! HE'S HARDCORE!

The WWE should sign Paul Turner, and send him and Joey Styles after the World Tag Team Championship. If any team could get people interested in the Tag Team Titles, it would be "The Voice of Extreme" and "The Upholder of Honor."
Seriously, though, that fan tried to grab Aries, and he got popped. His friend tried to jump in, and he got owned by a referee. I doubt they have a case. As for the heel turn? I'm a huge fan of Aries' talents, but for some reason I've never been a big fan of his "character." That being said, it sounded like the fans bought this hook, line and sinker. It's sort of reminding me of a cross between the nWo turn and Chris Jericho's make-over earlier this year. Only on a smaller scale, of course. Tyler Black turning face is not only the obvious thing to do, but it's the right thing to do. Keeping him bottled in The Age of the Fall is a big mistake, because the fans want him out of there. I'm curious to see where the FIP World Heavyweight Champion goes from here, but I'm thinking that Jacobs will try and take the FIP Title, while Jacobs tracks down the ROH Title. |
I couldn't get a good view of the fan incident from where I was sitting. But everyone who I spoke to at the event who was near it said that the fan touched Aries first.
and Katsuhiko Nakajima high fived me! |

Yeah I don't think that Aries gets along with fans too well. At my first ROH show in Detroit on the WM double shot, my buddy saw Aries standing behind our bleacher watching the dark match, and tried to get his autograph, which Aries didn't much care for and did not give him the autograph saying it was disrespectful to do that during a match. But we did catch BJ Whitmer before a match had started and he signed for us.
As for the heel turn, I'm not all that surprised, but I am surprised it happened so quickly. From what i've seen, everytime there is a long feud, the guys usually team together sometime afterwards. But usually not right away like this one is going. But I am ready for my next show, Detroit gets the Royal Rumble and a ROH show in the same week! |
|
.....the fuck?
|
That story has taken a bit of a twist.
|
Wait, Austin Aries is a Democrat? How could that man possibly be a heel?
