Avast has worked pretty well for me.

Why don't you want AVG? I'm assuming it managed to fail you in some way.

Yeah I had to format my desktop consisting of some movies which had no back up and I was not able to access them or copy them:wavesad:.

AVG is terrible.

Avast is great if you remember to turn the notifications off. I heard "Your virus definitions have been updated" while jerking it to some porn :(
