Of all the current catchphrases in the WWE...

..."Choke on these nuts" is prolly the worst.

Cena's done so many better lines than that. I hope this one drops before it becomes a legit catchphrase. This might be the most annoying thing to me since "what?"

What do you think is the worst catch phrase?

The CyNick 03-27-2004 10:22 PM

WWE Bookers: "Trips, you're going over tonight" --Thats the worst catchphrase in the WWE

Seriosuly though, if Shawn's "This time the kick will stick" is a new catchphrase, well thats pretty lame.

Tisk tisk tisk, it should be pretty obvious what the WWE is trying to do here Kane. They're going to have John Cena say "choke on these nuts" for a few months, and then while he's in the middle of a US title defense he''ll get slammed over the head with a gutair by Jeff Jarrett and he'll take the mic and say "Choke on that Slapnutz!" After that it'll set up a "catch phrase infringement" feud between the two.

Duh

Loose Cannon 03-27-2004 10:31 PM

Yeah seriously KK, get your head right.

Kane Knight 03-27-2004 10:33 PM

 You mean like the whole Angle/Shamrock feud over the Ankle lock? ;)

MVP 03-27-2004 11:53 PM

I remember when "RING THE DAMN BELL" was a common phrase around the end of 1997.

Boondock Saint 03-28-2004 12:02 AM

Remember Holly's "How do you like me now?" and "I'm the Big Shot!"

For today, I can't think of too many. :-\

Kane Knight 03-28-2004 12:04 AM

Like I said...Current...

"How Do you like me now?" Which was often followed up by "I Hate You" and "you're fat" was pretty awful.

Mister Sinister 03-28-2004 12:06 AM

I'm going to take you downtown....To Chinatown Junior!

Krow 03-28-2004 12:56 AM

(something) you sanctimonious son-of-a-bitch!

It worked the first time, but it was so freakin' forced the other times he did it.

Some people just don't need catch phrases to be over. *cough*

Spoon Bender 03-28-2004 01:55 PM

"Who in the blue hell are you" It was so funny the first time it was used. But anything Rock says that gets a pop ends up apearing 6 times in the next promo.

ROFL  so true.

Rock Bottom 03-28-2004 03:22 PM

Yeah, I think Rock should chill with the phrases a little and space them out (not including his 84789474 month absences). It's pretty cool though when you're there live, but from a TV standpoint, he tends to wear them out. When he returns, it's cool too. But he'll think of something new, wear that out, and think of something else.

But as far as the subject of worst catch phrase today... John Cena's whole holding the mic up in the air after his freestyles, I think those are the worst. But the fans love it, so do that sh</>it.

Oxstar 03-28-2004 03:56 PM

its like wen dx used to hold the mic up and every body wud say "suck it" but that was cool!
