Cool, thanks for pointing that out. If that's already the booked match, then they don't have too awful long. The whole thing about Bischoff saying, "If you don't get traded to SmackDown, I'll make it better by fixing you up with a title shot at Backlash," kind of makes no sense to me at all. Michaels was all like, "I think you just fixed my problem."
I know it's been neglected numerous times before, but there is usually a rematch clause for champs who just lost the strap. The whole feud is making less sense over time. Michaels fights Triple H a bunch of times, and even though the endings were controversial, he didn't once get the title off Trips (talking in the past few months). Then Benoit wins the Rumble, Michaels takes it upon himself to kick Benoit and "sign a contract" to put himself in the match.
Basically, his driving goal being that he wanted to settle it with Trips once and for all at 'Mania. Well, 'Mania rolls around, Benoit makes Trips tap, leaving Michaels not only at like his millionth unsuccessful attempt, but not even involved in the decision. So now instead of Triple H chasing his belt, we got Michaels who all the sudden is gonna forget about Triple H and go after Benoit's title... For no reason at all, other than, "I want to take what is most important to Triple H." Um, hello? If you're fighting the champ, feud with the fuc</>king champ. The belt ISN'T AROUND TRIPLE H'S WAIST RIGHT NOW.
Not to mention that Michaels and Benoit teamed up on RAW and totally owned Evolution together (the part where Benoit had the crossface on, and Michaels superkicked anyone who came in two break the hold was pretty sweet) without so much as a scuffle.
Shi</>t makes no sense. Benoit is gonna win clean, I think.
