HBK at WrestleMania 26

After WrestleMania XXIV, I made a thread about the WWE being very likely to do Shawn Michaels vs. The Undertaker in Houston, Texas for the Silver Anniversary of WrestleMania. I might do the same thing in regards to Shawn Michaels' participation in WrestleMania 26.

There are rumours circulating around (being furthered by Shawn Michaels himself) that HBK will at least be taking some time off after WrestleMania 26. That means that we could possibly see HBK's last match in Phoenix, Arizona next year. A lot of people have been saying it, and it only makes sense -- given how close they are, is it likely we will see Shawn Michaels vs. Triple H at WrestleMania 26? They've had a storied history, but they've never competed one-on-one against each other on the grandest stage of them all. Will the they get a chance to do it in 2010? Will the match be a classic? Will the title be on the line? Would Triple H turn heel to set-up the match? Do you actually want to see the match?

What do you think about HBK's role at the apparent "true 25th anniversary" of WrestleMania?

What Would Kevin Do? 04-07-2009 12:45 PM

HHH vs HBK
HBK vs Morrison

It should be one of those. Either the storied rivalry, or a sort of "Pass the torch" feud between HBK and Morrison (In which Morrison should start referring to himself as the new Heart Break Kid.)

Krimzon7 04-07-2009 12:53 PM

HBK vs Morrison is pure fantasy booking. I would ejaculate a gallon if they did it though. This could have such an epic build up that Morrison could be 'made' afterwards. Morrison could get drafted to RAW, without Miz. he could approach HBK in the back and start spoiuting off. HBK could mention that he reminds himself of a young him. Morrison could flash the abs, and say that HBK never looked this great, etc. and HBK could shoot on him with saying 'that's the whole problem with you kid. You've got all the talent in the world, bt you have to grow the fuck up. get serious about your profession before you're wished well, or forced to carry a parrot'. This could escalate into a series of challenges that would culimnate in a WM 26 10star blowoff match that would make the heavens tremble.

#1-norm-fan 04-08-2009 12:39 AM

I want to see HBK vs. Edge or Orton for the world or WWE title personally. I know, I know, HBK doesn't need a title on the line to make his WM match spectacular but we all know that having Taker's streak on the line added a lot to this one.

Plus I miss being able to get into title matches the way I got into HBK vs. Taker. It's always funner when something is up for grabs and HBK NEEDS another title run.

Bad Company 04-08-2009 01:41 AM

HBK doesn't need to be "passing the torch" to anyone right now.

The Optimist 04-08-2009 03:05 AM

HBK vs Edge
HBK vs Jeff
HBK vs Morrison

Anyway you want it, that's the way you need it. Anyway you need it - duhnuhnuhnuhnuh!

I would shit my pants and eat it and then shit my pants again, thus shitting my pants with shit from the last time I shit my pants in tandem with my current shit if they went the HBK v Morrison route.

It doesn't even need to be that important. I would butcher someone's family for just half an hour of Morrison/Michaels.

.44 Magdalene 04-08-2009 04:22 AM

I mean, it doesn't even need to be Wrestlemania, to be honest. I'd hump a fucking turtle just to see it on Smackdown.

The Optimist 04-08-2009 04:40 AM

Like you can see anything on Smackdown.

Tazz Dan 04-08-2009 07:03 AM

HBK/Jericho - for the WWE/WHC Title.

Yeah, I know it's been done to death, but if they can pull off a match like they did at WMXIX then

GD 04-08-2009 07:22 AM

I dig that Tazz.

Mr. Nerfect 04-08-2009 09:34 AM

HBK vs. John Morrison is the match I'd want to see. I didn't mention it, because as Krimzon said, it's pure fantasy booking. That would be an epic WrestleMania match, though, that would help Morrison arrive at that main event level.

They could do something somewhere else, though. A Royal Rumble bout between the two could be very cool.

I would watch you shit the shit you ate and shit just to witness this awesome match. Andd I would watch you Scot Tennamen somebodies family while you digested all that shit.

Krimzon7 04-08-2009 10:56 AM

Noid, a House show match between them would be fucking awesome! They wouldn't even be able to show us stills of it though. It would be as awesome as Wilt Chamberlin scoring 100, but on back to back nights in the Finals.

If he retires, then yes, yes he should. Plus, Morrison is probably the closest thing to HBK as far as the new generation goes. I also fully expect for HBK to "hand down" Sweet Chin Music to Morrison. (Morrison did blast him with a super kick and put him down for the count a few months back.)

Heel CM Punk could also work, but, Morrison just fits so much better...

Rammsteinmad 04-08-2009 01:41 PM

I certainly don't want to see Shawn Michaels and Triple H.

Krimzon7 04-08-2009 01:53 PM

I don't know if I want to see Morrison use SCM. He is acrobatic enough to have the moonlight drive. And that is a cool name. SCM should be enshrined with HBK.

Scott Delaney 04-08-2009 02:02 PM

For oen night and one night only, I'd like to see the kliq take on Legacy. On one corner u'd have Orten, Dibiase, and Rhodes. On the other hand, u'd have HBK, HHH, and either Kevin Nash or Sean Waltman.

I think it would be awesome. I don't know if this match wood be Wrestlemania werthy, but I think it would still be coo!

He can always have two moves, or use SCM on "special occasions." He already uses his springboard kick as a finisher too, so it's not that big of a deal. Plus, with so many wrestlers using superkicks these days, it's only a matter of time until someone starts using one in the WWE after Shawn is gone, so it might as well be Morrison.

I agree. This has been done too many times in the past already.

shawn vs sting would be an ubercool match IMHO. MR> WRESTLEMANIA MEETS MR. STARCADE

Morrison's superkick was awesome

Krimzon7 04-09-2009 03:32 PM

Morrison's superkick is awesome, and I guess WWKD does have a point. I just like the 'freshness' of Moonlight Drive, and the spring board enziguri.

but what do i know.

And HBM already beat Mr. Starcade. He retired him at WM24...

Morrisen is a good fighter but I think HBK's super kick is still better since he's been using it longer. HBK has also been a world champion multiple times while Morrison is still a lot newer.

Krimzon7 04-09-2009 04:54 PM

I think that the best superkick that I've ever seen was the one Michaels gave the guy at ringside during WrestleMania 12. It was absolutely fucking awesome.

There's no comparison between SCM and Morrison's Kick. I am all for Moonlight drive being the finisher for the future.

Mr. Nerfect 04-10-2009 10:34 AM

I don't hate the move or anything, but the Moonlight Drive does not seem as awesome as Morrison's finisher should. It seems pretty...generic? It just doesn't have enough character yet.

I would love to see a spot in a Shawn Michaels vs. John Morrison match where both men went for a Superkick at the same time, and because Morrison's has a greater reach (I assume), he connects with his, and he manages to cover HBK for a two count.

Or they both connect, and they end the match on a double count out!

How can any of you condone involving HBK with a guy who teams with The Miz?!

Because it has been scientifically proven that John Morrison is the greatest human being that ever lived.

Jeritron 04-10-2009 09:49 PM

I like Morrison as much of the next guy, but Shawn's last match? Not only that, but a year from now? Sorry, just no way.
He needs more time to develop.

HHH is the logical answer here. Either that or a Taker rematch.

I don't know. If things keep rolling with Morrison, who knows? He breaks up with The Miz, changes brands, wins the King of the Ring, etc. He's suddenly got all this momentum and credibility behind him. They could set something up between the two in the Scramble Match at Unforgiven, where Morrison beats Shawn Michaels to end his unofficial WWE Title reign, and maybe even do it twice, and they can then meet in a Survivor Series Elimination Match, where Morrison pins Michaels. You could have one then eliminate the other from the Royal Rumble match.

Plenty of ways they can build to this thing in time for Mania. It's not likely, I'd agree, but it'd be sweet.

Fox 04-11-2009 01:51 AM

No way would Morrison go from DVD Extra match at WrestleMania (which he lost, btw) to facing Shawn Michaels in one of his last WM matches ever.

Triple H vs. HBK seems like one of those things WWE would do just so that it's in the history books, which I dunno, doesn't seem like a great way of doing business to me. But whatever. I doubt they would do a rematch against Taker. How do you recapture that kind of magic? It'd just be folly to the first one.

HBK vs. MVP at Mania could be a great match.

Supreme Olajuwon 04-11-2009 02:12 AM

If we're doing fantasy booking there's no question who I'd want HBK to face at Wrestlemania 26: The Rock.

Does the Rock still hate Michaels though? I can't remember.

DrA 04-11-2009 02:17 AM

Six man tag team match: Shawn Michaels, John Cena, and the Big Show vs. Triple H, Edge, and CM Punk.

James Steele 04-11-2009 02:21 AM

If anybody doubts how good HHH/HBK would be, just remember how they had the greatest feud of the decade. (Yes, it was better than Nigel McGuinness and Bumblefuck Smith in RoH)

Powered Toast Man 04-11-2009 03:01 AM

You all have it wrong. It should be Rockers vs Miz and Morrison

I personally think people went too hard on the feud at the time, but greatest feud of the decade? Come on now. It also loses its impact based on how it had no lasting standing on the relationship between Triple H and Shawn Michaels.

Personally, I think a match between the two would be awesome, and would be the best performance we've seen out of Triple H in years, but I can understand why people wouldn't get excited for it.
