What you guys said. I mean, the game's already rated Teen to appeal to a larger audience. Going down to E10 seems like a minimal return and with artists like M5 and Marvin Gaye, I'm not sure the content is really going to be that much more appropriate.

I hope to God they put "This Love" by M5 and "Let's Get It On" By Marvin Gaye, though. That would be amazing.

They should use those Kidz Bop tracks, It would make sense, not that it'll give it relevance in the end or whatever (Sponge Bob tracks are on RB2). So yeah, still a suck idea and wasted funds.

It's just a GH 5 clone. Wonder if the setlist can be exported into GH 5. Doubt it. Since the rest of World Tour and Smash Hits aren't even in there yet.

No Doubt Files Lawsuit Against Activision
Band is not happy with the publisher's latest music title Band Hero.

November 4, 2009 - Musical artist No Doubt has filed a lawsuit against videogame publisher Activision over the apparent misuse of the band's likeness its newest music title Band Hero, reports Rolling Stone.

The lawsuit complaints range from fraudulent inducement to breach of contract, arguing the group has been turned into "a virtual karaoke circus act."

The group also disapproved of their likeness being used to sing songs by other artists and allowing players to isolate individual members out of the group.

"No Doubt agreed to place avatars containing their name and likeness performing three No Doubt songs in the upcoming Band Hero game of the Guitar Hero series from Activision," the group said in a provided statement. "Without the band's knowledge or approval Activision turned the group into virtual karaoke players by having them perform over 60 additional songs by other musical groups."

According to the report, No Doubt has asked Activision to honor its contract, but the publisher has refused saying the cost to fix the problem would be "too expensive."

Artist Courtney Love also sued Activision in September for similar reasons regarding late-husband Kurt Cobain for his misused likeness in Guitar Hero 5.

I don't think you "get" that the more into the millions of copies of any game that are sold, the higher the likelihood that there will be something like a Band Hero 2 in the future.

Not necessarily. They can come out with them once a month for all I care, as long as you can import most of the songs over for $5. We're the real winners here. :y:
