Supreme Olajuwon 09-05-2009 01:18 AM

hope there's not another school shooting this time

Funky Fly 09-05-2009 02:14 AM

What? Is that why it was pushed back?

Supreme Olajuwon 09-05-2009 02:46 AM

The first one was pulled from theaters because of the Columbine shootings.

Funky Fly 09-05-2009 03:11 AM

Oh, fuck. Talk about bad timing.

Eh, there were other factors at play that were responsible for that films theatrical failure. http://rogerebert.suntimes.com/apps/.../41116007/1023

Also this sequel looks just as horrible as the first one.

Horrible? Really?

Jeritron 09-05-2009 03:46 PM

The sequel has been a disaster for a lot of reasons. Supposedly the writer/director burnt every bridge in hollywood and couldn't get it made.

Then he burnt his bridge with the cast and couldn't get them.

Him and Rocco came to my school for a Q&A. They spent the whole time hyping the sequel, dropping names like Robert Deniro and Steve Buscemi. Then they started saying this ridiculous shit about bringing Rocco back from the grave.

It sounded like a bunch of bullshit, and the movie sounded awful. Then I heard all the news about it falling apart. I guess the guy has a huge ego for nothing really.

I loved the first one when I first saw it. I was about 16. I watched it again recently and it's not so good anymore. I dunno.

This looks kinda cheese. I can't believe its coming out October 30th and there's been no marketing at all.

Blitz 09-05-2009 04:14 PM

I'll check it out.

Blitz 09-05-2009 04:15 PM

And there's no supposedly about Troy Duffy burning bridges. If you haven't seen the documentary Overnight yet, what the hell is the matter with you.

thedamndest 09-05-2009 05:36 PM

I had a friend who swore up and down he saw Boondock Saints in theaters. I have no idea why you would lie like that.

Juan 09-05-2009 05:56 PM

Awesome. Love the first one and this one looks pretty good too.

Funky Fly 09-05-2009 06:16 PM

lol wow

Droford 09-05-2009 06:55 PM

I wanted to go to see the original when it was re-released in theatres for the anniversary edition but no theatre within 100 miles was playing it.

I dont really have any interest in the sequel though I'll rent it when its out on Bluray.

Boondock Saint 09-06-2009 05:45 AM

Excellent.

When Boondock Saints was completed, it was given a very limited theatrical release, with its distributor showing the film in 1999 on only five screens in the United States for a duration of a week. However, the original unrated version of the film was later re-released in theaters on May 22, 2006.[16]

He made this claim some time during my 2004-2005 school year.

It had a limited release. Most people saw it on either DVD or TBS/TNT late night.

I enjoyed the first one. Will probably watch the second one in theaters just because.

Well let's hope it's equaly as "horrible" as the first one, that will make me happy.

Sovereigntywillpr 10-17-2009 12:47 AM

That red headed chick is acting to much like Dafoe in the first one, almost as if they wrote the part for him and couldn't get him so just made a chick do it...

His words were "I was the only motherfucker sitting in that theater watching that fuckin' movie because I was the only one that had heard about it."

Boondock Saints is still the greatest mystery to me. I guess....what was likable about it?

I saw it and thought 'gee...here's a film with nothing going for it'. So disappointing. It was like the director got drunk on sake one night, turned on Pulp Fiction and wrote down some ideas on a chopstick wrapper. It was one of the few times I agreed with the critics on rottentomatoes.

And then they made a sequel to it. If it doesn't go down as 'least deserved sequel ever'....well....
