- Kurt Angle called into Bubba the Love Sponge on Wed., Sept. 16.

They talked about how the Bubba crew believed he was innocent from day one (based solely on the insider knowledge that people had called Biggers a wack job since she had dated Diamond Dallas Page).

Angle reiterated the basic points of his side of the story, and did say that Trenesha was in court when most of the charges were dropped. The turning point, Angle said, was when his lawyer was cross-examining her. “First she said that I was stalking her, then she said she was following ME in her car,” Angle said. At that point, the judge said, “Get out of here, you’re an idiot.”

Bubba said he heard a rumor that Angle was offered a lowball one-year deal to remain in TNA and was “offended” that they wouldn’t give him a 2-3 year contract (a work, considering that Angle has discussed his back condition on the show with them). Angle countered that the offer was made around the time he was still fighting these charges, but did not say if he asked for a longer contract.

Bubba did call Jeff Jarrett and Vince Russo “cancers” in TNA.

Angle said, “You really don’t like Russo?” which set Bubba off on a five-minute rant about some of the various Hogan and Russo interactions (work and shoot), as if Russo screwed Hogan at every turn. Somehow, he included having Hogan job to Rey Misterio as one of these injustices.

Angle gave a limited defense of Russo and said that Jarrett at least founded the promotion that he (Angle) is now working for. Bubba replied, “It doesn’t matter to me. Jarrett is still the guy who’s sleeping with your ex-wife.”

At the end of the segment, Angle plugged that he was wrestling Matt Morgan on the PPV on Sunday and asked everyone to watch.

Makes a bit more sense now than when the story broke and I saw a picture of the lass he was allegedly stalking.

Out of curiousity, has any female wrestler ever sued/pressed charges against an active wrestler for unbecoming sexual conduct and succeeded?
