Is the Batista heel turn long overdue?

Batista sucks as a face. He's just annoying, but Bats as a heel should be pretty awesome.

The Ravishing One 10-26-2009 06:42 PM

Yes

The Ravishing One 10-26-2009 06:43 PM

I had been praying for a drug violation or a child rape case breaking out, but a heel turn works for me.

Heyman 10-26-2009 06:48 PM

FUCK YES.

A Batista heel turn was long overdue, and it's great to see the WWE actually think outside the box for a change.

A part of me was kind of hoping that Batista would interefere in the Iron Man, and help Orton win. Batista would then join Legacy, with the agreement that while neither man is friend's with one another, they would form a penis-on-penis alliance which would help each man be World champ on their respective show.

The stable would then appear on both shows. I think it would be a great way of giving Legacy more attention while at the same time, giving guys like Undertaker, DX, John Cena, etc., a common enemy.

^that would be a stupid idea, faggot.

didn't see it how did he turn?

Rammsteinmad 10-26-2009 07:00 PM

It was obvious a heel turn was coming by the way Josh Matthews got in the ring with Rey and Batista.

I mean come on, how often do we see interviewers get in the ring after fatal-four ways?

Supreme Olajuwon 10-26-2009 07:15 PM

Monsters that look like they should just beat the living shit out of anything on earth always work better as heels. Look at guys like Vader and Yokozuna. Awesome heels, meh faces. And it's because it's no fun to cheer the guy you know should dominate.

It's been obvious for weeks, it was just down to how well executed it was when they did pull the trigger. I thought it was great, as I said in the Bragging Rights thread, Batista's 'cold' delivery on the mic/facials, Rey's begging, the sympathy angle etc. Was pretty perfect. Long overdue. First time he's been interesting in a while.

screech 10-26-2009 07:38 PM

Overdue? Yes, I think so. I have never been this excited about anything Batista-related.

The turn was very well done, also.

Sucks to be CM Punk right now :(

Tb1 10-27-2009 05:19 AM

Like 2 years overdue, but still a great turn.

Dave Youell 10-27-2009 01:18 PM

That was kind of cool

Emperor Smeat 10-27-2009 03:57 PM

 Front row is clapping once Batista clotheslines Rey

Kami Raki 10-27-2009 04:44 PM

Good. I may actually be interested in Batista for the first time since 2005.

That's what gave away Punk cashing in MITB at Extreme Rules for me. After Jeff won, JR got in the ring ready for an interview. When have they ever ended a PPV with an interview?

In regards to the topic, yes it's long overdue and I can't wait for it. Maybe I can enjoy Batista for the first time in 5 years.

The folks around me were all like "It's about time!" I even got a decent "Batista" chant going as he was walking to the back.

Savio 10-28-2009 01:17 PM

I like this because this a feud about something other then a title or a number one contender spot

XCaliber 10-28-2009 02:51 PM

Batista was actually one of the few faces that I actualled liked but I agree that a turn for him was overdue. That means SD now has 3 main event heels which is way more than what RAW has solely in Orton. So this leads me to believe more changes are coming as I'm still confident DiBiase is turning face.

Nicky Fives 10-28-2009 04:01 PM

meh.... he's still horrible in the ring..... I wish he tears a muscle and gets off my TV for another 6-8 months..... oh wait.... that happens every 16 months anyways, I guess I'll have to be patient...
