The DVD extras on WWE PPVs suck these days
Ordered a bunch of 2002 ppvs from half.com cause it's cheap as fuck. They all had awesome extras. Extra matches, semi-shoot post match interviews, and other backstage stuff.
Meanwhile, I just got the Hell in the Cell DVD, and it has one extra. Cody Rhodes being taken out of the ring on a stretcher. Whoopty fucking do. They need to go back to having those extras, because they were really cool. Wrestlemania dvd is the obvious exception. |
the extras on the Invasion DVD are really good
Wrestlemania 22 Collector's edition was the last one I bought. Money well spent.
Yeah, like I said, wrestlemania dvds are still great. But the reguler ppvs, even bigger ones like summerslam, only offer one extra, as opposed the 7 or 8 of years past. Lazy.
Yeah they dont even bother to put inserts in the DVDs anymore, I mean seriously would it be such a huge hassle for WWE to put them in there?
They need all that paper for (insert something witty about John Cena here).
It's early, give me a break. |
Definitely agree.
The Royal Rumble 2000 DVD had fucking loads, including highlights from the '98 and '99 Rumble. |
The last DVD I bought that I thought had decent extras was..night of champions 2008? 2007? I believe. It had some matches, interviews with a ton of former champions, etc.
The extras from Survivor Series 2001 are probably the best I've seen. Flairs return in full, and Heymans firing. Good shit. :y:
Bought one PPV DVD Wrestlemania 20....Awesome.
This past Summerslam's DVD extra was only a highlight clip of the dark match Diva battle royal, not even the whole thing!
Probably has to do with them also running WWE 24/7 as a pay service and a lot of those good matches they give away as extras would make more money if they kept them on monthly WWE 24/7 fee instead. Make people want to pay to watch WWE 24/7 instead of having to give them away to help sell certain dvds.
