You got that Last.fm on 360 right? Just do a search.

CSL 11-29-2009 08:52 PM

What's your definition of metal? Or what type of metal are you looking for?

DaveWadding 11-29-2009 09:00 PM

I'll give anything a shot, but I'm really enjoying the newest Mastodon CD that I just downloaded.

I don't know what clean vocals mean to you but I consider this band to have clean vocals. pretty good imo.

El Fangel 11-29-2009 11:12 PM

Try In Flames, they are rather good. Have a few growling songs but most are melodic.

I dig.

and by clean I mean a minimal amount of growling, screaming, or screeching.

Stickman 11-30-2009 12:43 AM

Steel Panther

The Mask 11-30-2009 01:15 AM

man i heard the perfect band for you today on the radio, but they were a bit obscure and i can't remember their name for the life of me. i remember it said they were a brother and sister 2-piece (i think) from holland.

PorkSoda 11-30-2009 01:50 AM

Metal with clean vocals? As in no swearing? Or you just don't like the growly cookie monster vocals that most metal bands have? THe music is kickass but the vocals just ruin it?

Firewind? Try "Mercenary Man." There's also Testament.

El Fangel 11-30-2009 02:06 AM

Mask, I believe the band you are thinking of is called "After Forever"

DaveWadding 11-30-2009 03:46 AM

No sir, I don't like it.

El Fangel 11-30-2009 03:50 AM

Did you try In Flames? I also would recommend.
High on Fire
Opeth
Job for a Cowboy
Children of Bodom

You likely listen to most if not all of those, thought I would mention them anyways.Oh and

ShadowsFall

El Fangel 11-30-2009 03:52 AM

Killswitch Engage as well.

Downunder 11-30-2009 06:34 AM

CoB does not have clean vocals - but for growly shit they are rather good.

CSL 11-30-2009 01:18 PM

Ditto In Flames, Job For A Cowboy, Opeth and Killswitch. They all have clean parts but are mostly 'growly'. Should definitely check out In Flames though, they have more melodic/clean stuff than most bands like them

Mike Honcho 11-30-2009 01:31 PM

I assume you are looking for some with a good mix of scream and clean?
some of my favorite bands that fit that to me are:

Haste the Day
Destroy the Runner
Demon Hunter
Oh, Sleeper

that's just for starters, if you need more. let me know

Rammsteinmad 11-30-2009 01:43 PM

Shadow Gallery.

Check out these songs:

Mystery
The Archer of Ben Salem
Room V

CSL 11-30-2009 01:45 PM

Gonna add some 'less heavy' stuff that still falls under some variety of metal banner:

Sixx 11-30-2009 01:59 PM

69 Eyes?

I thought only 13 year old "goth" girls listen to this band.

CSL 11-30-2009 02:03 PM

Then gimme some stripy stockings, choppy choppy pee pee and knock 11 years off my life son

Sixx 11-30-2009 02:07 PM

Well, you paint your fingernails, that's a start.

Nah, but really, I always thought that it's like HIM for poor people. And I have really never met a guy that would enjoy 69 Eyes. Then again I don't think I talked about this band to a lot of people.

Indifferent Clox 11-30-2009 10:27 PM

baroness the blue record, track 4, but the whole album is amazing

I know, I was only suggesting bands.

As for In Flames

Crawl Through Knives
Only for The Weak
Take this Life
Come Clarity

Skippord 12-01-2009 02:54 AM

Hammerfall and Dream Evil

LuigiD 12-01-2009 03:32 AM
