1) The Hurricane defeated Zach Ryder by disqualification. Hurricane hit the Shining Wizard but Ryder fell to the floor. A masked Paul Birchill, presumably as his super-villain alter ego comes down and attacks Hurricane.

I've been waiting so long for a supervillian feud with Hurricane. Back during his Cruiserweight title days I remember wanting it to be Tajiri with a mask or face paint going by the name "Buzzsaw". But here they actually have a legit story and everything leading up to it. This is amazing. :D

Ol Dirty Dastard 11-30-2009 02:56 PM

That is actually kind of awesome lol.

Schlomey 11-30-2009 02:57 PM

I called this shit from the start. To be totally honest.

Dorkchop 11-30-2009 03:02 PM

As ridiculous as it would be I wouldn't mind a stable of super heroes to feud with a stable of super villains for a few months.

Ermaximus 11-30-2009 03:04 PM

I'd be up for that. Bring back Mighty Molly and SHIT Rosey and add the likes of let's say Big Zeke and you could have something with potential.

jerichoholicninja 11-30-2009 03:22 PM

Things are about to get EXTREME!!!

Vastardikai 11-30-2009 04:06 PM

Now, they need to give Birchill's super-villain character a theme song sung by Tim Owens. Or at the very least get the rights to that one Judas Priest song.

:shifty:

Nark Order 11-30-2009 10:35 PM

I like how I'm more interested in the low card fued in the WWE than I am the main event.

Mr. Nerfect 12-01-2009 01:27 AM

Paul Burchill is awesome, and I am looking forward to this very much.

XCaliber 12-01-2009 09:53 AM

What a waste a such great talents.

Why? Because both of them are on television regularly? Because both of them are in a long-term feud? Because both of them work well together? Because both of them could get the promotion to Raw and Smackdown at any point based on their good work in ECW recently?

In other words, shut up. You people are so pessimistic and negative, it's no wonder that Vince doesn't care about what you think.

Actually, WWKD predicted this exact thing over 2 weeks ago

Really. I'm one of the biggest pessimists here and even I don't see this as a "waste" by any stretch of the imagination.

Chavo Classic 12-01-2009 01:13 PM

You people doesn't include you, Xero. It generally refers to everyone with a post count of under 500 or who clearly doesn't know their arse from their elbow-drop.

Excuse me for having a life but this is the the type of PG crap most of you have been griping about to begin with so stop being a hypocrite about it.

It's a fucking good gimmick. Your point is also invalid because they had a much more cartoon-like Hurricane around before the PG renaissance. I suppose you think other far-out characters like Delirious and CurryMan are too PG to enjoy also?

I think you should take your head out your arse, and enjoy wrestling for once. Stop being such a smark!

My favorite Hurricane moment was when he gave Heidenrich a Hurri Mask during that battle royal.

Xero 12-01-2009 01:57 PM

There a video of that? Which battle royal was it?

And Chavo, I knew you weren't referring to me, was just agreeing.

Mr. Nerfect 12-01-2009 04:17 PM

I still maintain that all the silly little gimmicks Burchill has had over the years have helped him overall as a performer. The guy gets a surprising amount of backstage promo time. There is a part of me that still believes (or wants to believe), that there are those backstage that want to see Burchill develop into a Jack of all trades.

This super-villain gimmick will allow him to ham it up, and really show some more personality. Plus, Katie Lea will be hot in whatever costume they give her. I hope that Burchill's stock only continues to rise.

It was one of the brand battle roayls. There is a video of it. Hurricane was on Raw and Heidenrich was on Smackdown at the time. I believe it was at a Wrestlemania. The battle roayl that never aired on the card. I wanna say WM 22?

Londoner 12-01-2009 05:17 PM

Gotta agree with chavo, dunno why anyone would hate on this.

XL 12-01-2009 06:45 PM

Shame this is being "hidden away" on Superstars.

The Show Off 12-01-2009 11:47 PM

I called it!

Yeah, like anyone would rather see this than a Melina segment :|

DAMN iNATOR 12-02-2009 12:26 AM

Well, maybe if it was the return of Burchill doing his old gimmick as the pirate who looked like Captain Jack Sparrow...

Emperor Smeat 12-02-2009 01:17 AM

The build-up to making Burchill a super-villain has been pretty good. Him and the Hurricane are having a nice feud so far that even though its meant to be a comedic angle, its been more entertaining than most comedic angles done in the WWE.

It's probably because there is actually wrestling, conflict in the storyline, and a vested interest for both Hurricane and Burchill to participate. Funny, but still taken as a serious program.

When you get Chavo getting beat up every week by Hornswoggle, or Hornswoggle trying to steal DX's copyrights for no real reason; the funny parts just get repetitive.

It's a proper feud. I like that.
