What's with the New Names WWE is giving its Wrestlers?

Is it me or the the WWE consulting the porn industry for the names it is giving its new talent. It started with Jack Swagger, Dolph Ziggler and Evan Bourne. Now we have Byron Saxton, Savannah, Caylen Croft (actually sounds like a female porn name) and Trent Baretta. Whats next? Dick Johnson? Wait they already have him. Not to mention Zach Ryder.

Start worrying when they bring in someone called "Pole Smoker".

I didn't like Jack Swagger's name at first, I thought it was just plain stupid, but now, I actually think it's an awesome name for an awesome wrestler. As for Dolph Ziggler, I really didn't like his surname when he debuted with it. I thought "Ziggler" sounded more like a Pokemon than a surname.

Evan Bourne just made me think of Matt Damon when Evan debuted. I'm used to it now though. I have no beef with Byron Saxton's name though I do feel that "Savannah" sounds too "TNA-ish", if you know what I mean.

"Trent Baretta & Caylen Croft" did sound weird but that was probably mostly because they were new random names for me, but the more I say it and the more I see it, the more it sounds alright to me.

And finally, Zack Ryder. He probably has the coolest name at the moment. I find nothing wrong with his name. It suits him well.

TNA's been doing it for a little while longer than the WWE.

Velvet Sky, Angelina Love, Taylor Wilde, and arguably Traci Brooks.

Add Shawn Michaels to that list so yeah it's not a new trend really.

Michael Shawn Hickenbottom, spent most of his childhood being called Shawn, Shawn Hickenbottom is a shit wrestling name, used the Michael part etc

I'll take these names any day of the week over stuff like Irwin R Shyster (get it, his initials are IRS and he's a tax man...haha), TL Hopper (hes a plumber!!), Bastien Booger (a fat slob!) they were using in the early 90's.

Im kinda surprised since they are using the same basic idea (appeal to kids) now as they were in the early 90's that they didnt come up with more stupid names like that.

Curt Hawkins would be a good captain's name.
