So, Chris Masters

Yeah he's a fan favorite now because of his "peck dance" shit. It's amusing yeah, but will he ever go beyond that side show shit and become a major player in the wrestling world. He sure does have the potential if he can stay clean.

Xero 12-17-2009 12:18 AM

...Do I even have to say it?

D Mac 12-17-2009 12:19 AM

what... Some more lies about Sid?

D Mac 12-17-2009 12:20 AM

LIES

Xero 12-17-2009 12:21 AM

He got over by starting promos over.

:shifty:

screech 12-17-2009 12:21 AM

Could he? Yes. Will he? Probably not.

Juan 12-17-2009 12:22 AM

He was never gonna become a major player anyway, but at least this way he's somewhat entertaining.

FourFifty 12-17-2009 12:23 AM

The peck dance = ratings

Lex Luger has to come back and challenge him to a pec off.

who

Wolfpack423 12-17-2009 12:54 AM

I know Chris Masters hasn't ever been the best wrestler, but I have been a fan of him ever since his feud with HBK. I am glad that they are using him a little bit more. I'd like to see him feud with Miz for the US title. I personally would not mind if he won some championship in his wrestling career.

Mr. Nerfect 12-17-2009 02:21 AM

I like Chris Masters, actually. The man is not a mastermind in the ring; but he's just a guy a genuinely want to like. I completely lost all interest when he returned with the exact same character he failed with in the past, though.

A face turn will do the man good. I think he's still only something like 26 years old. He's got years to develop into a proper character, and he's already main evented PPVs and such. Apparently the dude also has a pretty cool personality backstage, even though he seems bland and boring while on-stage (part of his character, I guess).

Give it time to see how this goes, I say. Right now, I want to see him succeed. He's just fresh enough in a stale RAW mid-card to go somewhere with anything. I remember back when Jim Cornette put Chris Masters in the same bracket as guys like John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista and Matt Morgan in men he predicted would be big stars. So far, all but Matt Morgan have won a World Title, and he is being groomed by TNA pretty hard. Cornette knows more about the wrestling industry than most people, so I'll give Masters a chance.

Jim Cornette also thought this would get over in the South:

I love Jim Cornette btw, I just wanted to post that video.

Ol Dirty Dastard 12-17-2009 10:55 AM

I like how they had the 2 girls at the end to affirm that they weren't 2 flaming homos. hahahahaha

The song was kind of cool though.

Rammsteinmad 12-17-2009 11:36 AM

I've missed quite a bit here with Chris Masters. Someone fill me in.

He does this all the time plus he puts the Masterlock on heels now.

Damian Rey 12-17-2009 01:46 PM

His pecs dancing is not that impressive. Hell, I can make my pecs move. The guy's built like a house, so hopefully this is a short term gimmick to get him going as a face and he's then allowed to blossom into the powerhouse he's supposed to be. I also think he could use a supplemental finisher.

jskinnyg 12-17-2009 04:15 PM

Not a big fan, but the face turn was needed to keep him on Tv...

JBL said it best:

"He's got a million dollar body and a nickel brain!!"

The guy has the physique but doesn't have the on camera charisma in the ring or behind the schtick to work the crowd....he's a fad at best!! I predict somewhere down the line in 2010....he will be given his second dose of "future endeavors".

XCaliber 12-17-2009 07:00 PM

His face turn was a smart move as I've seen him be over in heel vs heel situations but I don't particularly like the direction there taking him.

Why, do I have a feeling this is gonna be Rob Terry's "new" gimmick a few months from now in TNA when he's no longer part of the Brittish Invasion? :shifty:

To answer your question, Master's has always been a "generic muscle" guy in WWE, I dont see him going further than a mid carder in singles or maybe give him a tag team partner if they wanted to rebuild the tag team division.

Verbose Minch 12-18-2009 08:32 PM

He should be in a stable with CM Punk, and admit his addiction to steroids.
