TNA looking for new house show venue
TNA is scheduled to be in Pittsburgh, PA on March 13th - however, they are currently without a venue.
The Rostraver Ice Arena had been reserved for the event, but yesterday afternoon a large portion of the roof collapsed. Fortunately noone was injured during the collapse, but had the roof caved due to the weight of the snow even 5 minutes earlier or later, the story might have been very different, as there had just been a junior hockey game completed, and the zamboni was finishing the third pass before a second game was to take place. http://kdka.com/video/?id=69074@kdka.dayport.com |
they can come to my house.

cool story bro
|
I was going to go to this god dammit!
|
Heard Kurt Angle talking to Mark Madden about this on the radio yesterday, and he mentioned that TNA was still committed to come to town on that date. They were apparently trying to get some place in Monaca.
|
They should do it at Heinz Field.

I don't think they could even sell out the Pete. |
They should do it at Hines Ward's house.

As a fellow Pittsburgher figured put my two cents in as well. I would say somewhere like the Palumbo Center or just end up at a smaller Ice Arena somewhere else.
I watched an Indy show at the Belmont Complex north of the city that had Honkey Tonk and Abdulah the Butcher lol |
Maybe the sports complex in Harmar? Never been there to really know the size of it.
Either the PISA or Blade Runners. |
Looks like they found a place...
Per http://prowrestlingevents.webs.com/ (website that was posted on these boards) Saturday, March 13th, 2010 TNA @ Che-A-Rena Entertainment Complex in Cheswick, Pennsylvania, USA |
Ugh. The place is ok, and has had a couple indy shows, But I don't see them fitting more than a couple hundred people in there - and I look for a setup close to original ECW in terms of entrances.

Rostraver is a piece of shit. I remember I had to volunteer at an independent arena football game there and we had to duct tape the field down.

I guess you're not sorry the place fell down. |
