To be fair, though, walking out in their "peak" didn't contribute to their final results. WWE's statement is still inaccurate, no matter how many wrestlers are self destructive (A common trend in wrestlers), washed up, or out of touch (Another trend).
Luger's an addict, but so's Kurt. So're dozens of other guys. Eventually, you wash out or die if you don't deal with your demons (And sometimes, you still wash out or die...).
The major statement, the one which WWE made that is false, is the statement that they walked out at the peak of their career. This is false, as The One has indicated. While their final/current situations are less than admirable, WWE was making a bullshit statement (Which the One was correct in his corrections).
