Since he's fairly vital to Monk (even more-so than Sharona was), that's a multi-episode storyline at least (if they don't just replace him with another actor), but the fact that they need to handle it after he dies will likely feel awkward.
Yeah, he was so integral to the show. It's odd, because they just ran the episode where he "quit" on USA. So it's really creepy.

I didn't think he was that old, to be honest. I mean, I didn't think he was 35, but when I heard 65, I was surprised. At that age, a heart attack is no longer that stunning, but wow. It sucks because he's a good actor, and apparently a very solid individual.
