Parappa was a strange game that definitely turned some people away with it's strange sense of humor and even stranger visual style, but the music was top notch (professional sounding, recorded in a real New York studio), and it was basically the start of rhythm-action games. I loved the game. People couldn't understand what was appealing about it, but it was quirky and fun.
