I saw the movie first. THe book is much better, but I think you'll appreciate the movie if you see it first. The reason I say this is due to the book having more character coverage, backstory, etc, the movie misses out on some of it. The book is basically the total package, where the movie is great for a somewhat shock visual effect.

Personally, I saw the movie, read the book, and now I"m reading the manga.
Cool. Thanks for that. Would you say watching the movie first makes it more enjoyable, as it isn't as predictable as if you read the book? Then you go and read the book for the more detailed view.
