The reason I say this is due to the book having more character coverage, backstory, etc, the movie misses out on some of it. Cool. Thanks for that. Would you say watching the movie first makes it more enjoyable, as it isn't as predictable as if you read the book? Then you go and read the book for the more detailed view.

I think you summed up what I was thinking better than I said it The book goes into a lot more detail... THe only thing the book lacks is Kitano's character. You'll understand what I mean after you see the movie.
