Yeah, I'm expressing my sorrow.

But out of those teams, I say the BoSox and Cards are looking pretty nice right about now. Given they do have the best odds, that is probably the reason.

I'd say that those are pretty fucked up. The Yankee's 6/5? I'd say the Red Sox are the best bet in the AL right now, and I think 1/2 is even high for them. The Cardinals should be the clear cut favorite right now, they are underrated. The Angels probably won't make the playoffs and they are 1/5? Even more rediculous is the San Diego Padre's being 1/6.

As of right now, this is who I think has the best chance to win out of those teams:
St. Louis Cardinals
Boston Red Sox
LA Dodgers
New York Yankees
Chicago Cubs
Minnesota Twins
Oakland A's
Atlanta Braves
San Francisco Giants
Houston Astros
Anaheim Angels
Florida Marlins
San Diego Padres

The Twins have less of a chance to win than a team not even making the playoffs...

Once more teams are eliminated the odds would change, however a team like Anaheim is given good odds because of the offensive players they ahe, the great middle relief and closer they have... Thing is, they might not make the playoffs.

Look at the Marlins, once again not being given any consideration. Of course they probably won't make the playoffs, but look what happens when they do.

The Dodgers are still the team that I could see surprising everybody. Not like it would be a huge surprise really, because they are obviously good, but I don't think they are widely accepted as a real threat for the World Series.

Dodgers aren't awful, but they are struggling hard right now. They're only 1 1/2 games ahead of the Giants in the west, with a lot of games left against them. Could spell trouble for them.

Its depressing. The starting pitching has been awful the last 2 weeks. Seriously, I thought they would run away after taking 2 from the Cards. They need to get production out of people other than Beltre and get some quality starts again. If not, this last week is going to be all too familiar to Dodger fans...

Giants are just a half game out now

Giants seem to be running on all cylanders. Our rookie pitcher Lowry only gave up one run against the Astros, who they are looking to sweep tomorrow. Lowry is 6-0 in his rookie season

The Dodgers have lost I want to say 7 of their last 10 games. They peaked far too early. They have a decently tough schedule the rest of the way as well, and they can't really afford to lose too many more games.

They may be running themselves out of playoff contention

I like-...ish... the Dodgers. Did you hear Shawn Greene is going to sit out "at least" one game VS the Giants, due to ....um... some Jewish religious holiday. I want to say Yom Kippur, but I don't know.

FYI - Sandy Koufax had it in his contract and I think may have even refused to pitch Friday nights during the sabbath.

I thought he did decide to play... I give people respect who feel their religion has importance over their job.

I mean, most the world has Xmas off... that's a religious holiday...

Yea. I think so. He missed it a few years back to snap his 400+ game played streak. I think for the most part Yom Kippur's not during the season but it seems the season is steadily being pushed back a few weeks so now it does fall on it near the end of the season.

I think it will be the Yankee's. The Sox will probably fall apart in the playoffs, letting the Yankee's in the series. It won't be the Cardinals in the series either because they're an offensive powerhouse, and are a little lackluster on pitching which will hurt them in the playoffs allowing them to be beat in Game 7 of the second round.

It's not bad but compare it to the Yankee's and the Red Sox bullpens. Remember both the Yankee's and the Red Sox are pitching teams, how well do you think a hitting team will do against a team that's good at pitching. Most playoff teams are pitching teams, it's just how it goes.

When your lineup consists of A-Rod, Sheffield, Jeter, Giambi, Posada, Matsui, Williams, Olerud, Sierra etc, you are an offensive team. The Yankee's best pitcher will be the worst of the other three American League teams (Santana, Schilling, and Hudson). The Red Sox are all offense too. Manny Ramirez, David Ortiz, Johnny Damon, come on, thats rediculous.

The Cardinals have the most underrated pitching because dumbshits like people named "Molly Fan" are retarded. The only team with considerably better pitching than the Cardinals is the Dodgers, Jason Schmidt is all the Giants have and the Braves have a pretty similar lineup.

When your lineup has Renteria-Rolen-Pujols-Edmonds-Walker, you aren't the average offensive team. They won't get shut down in the playoffs by anybody. To beat them you are going to have to hope your pitcher pitches a gem and you can score a lot of runs.

The Yankee's have Brown and Hernandaz who are both good solid pitchers, they also have solid relief and closers.

The Red Sox have Martinez and Schilling as there top two pitchers both of which will be in the hall of fame someday.

While the Cardinals have young no name pitchers. Young pitchers if we all remember right young pitchers tend to fold in high pressure situations, especially against veteran teams (the other teams in the playoffs).

Young? Williams, Morris, and Carpenter aren't rookies FYI.

Pedro is over the hill now. He is still a good pitcher, but he doesn't dominate like he used to. He is one of my favorite all-time pitchers, but he will be outmatched by Radke is he plays him in the first round.

As for the Yankees, Hernandez is pitching real well and does in the playoffs usually too, but beyond that they are totally up in the air. Brown will pitch tomorrow, we'll see how he does, but knowing him he will be injured before the playoffs even start.

Neither team has bad pitched, don't get me wrong, but they are both offensive oriented teams now.

Yeah, that sucked when Josh Beckett and the Marlins lost to the veteran Yankees in the World Series last year. Or Jarrod Washburn and the Angels two years ago.
