Is it worth buying a Carnivale Boxset.
http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0319969/
I know the series only lasted 2 seasons, instead of the planned 6 seasons, and so I suspect story lines will have been left unfinished, but I have heard good things aboot it; photography, acting, and story-wise. So to the people who watched it: is it still worth checking out on DVD? On a side-note, is it me or are HBO cancelling quite a few of it's quality shows (Deadwood, Rome)?

Carnivale was canceled 2 years ago, where you been?
Anyways, yes I would say it's worth buying. However, the show can be a bit slow at the start, and that turned a lot of people I know off of it. I loved the show and wish it kept going. |

Rome was intended to run one season. They doubled its length and ended it. No big. Though one questions their logic in cancelling Deadwood.
