Thomas is pretty underrated.

He's not going to dominate but he is extra fouls to expend and more size for what is starting to look like an undersized Spurs team.

I wouldve preferred a Mike Miller or Jermaine O'Neal though. Hell, even Ron Artest.... nah.

Sure, you guys got Shaq, but without a true SF, Lamar had a big game (22 and 11)...imagine what happens when you have to go against Melo or Josh Howard? Im happy we won. I mean, considering that the Suns we just faced are about as fully powered as they are gonna be (and dont gimme any Grant Hill crap either), and we are without our true center, our slasher, and Pau still learning the offense and his spots. Id say we're still competing against the best while obviously not having all our big guns healthy (hell, even Kobes injured).

yeah this game against the Lakers doesn't mean as much considering it was shaq's FIRST game with his new team. He did everything people were expecting. Once they get more practices and games under their belt they will be better offensively and defensively. Plus none of the Suns are playing with a pinky that could cost them the finals/playoffs and any time

Its true though, I mean it was a nice win but you gotta be realistic. It was Shaq's first game back in a while. He played pretty well too, you gotta assume he is only gonna improve (unless he gets hurt again of course) On the flip side Lakers are only going to improve too once Bynum is back. Its gonna be a battle out west no matter, trying to predict it now is pretty retarded. I know the Spurs won last year, but that was last year, right now its pretty much up in the air.

Suns wont win shit until they learn how to play defense, Mike D'antoni should take most of the blame there. I don't care how great your offence is, if you can't stop the other guy it doesn't mean shit if you score 120 points but cant stop the other guy from getting to 130.

You have the alpha dog phenom, the best player in the league in (Kobe) and Lamar Odom who's healthy and in his prime and Pau Gasol who has been a freaking revelation. The length of the big three is incredible, they play so well together and that's attributed to Pau Gasol. I don't think I've seen a better mid-season trade than the one Mitch Kupchak worked for this guy. He looks and plays like he's been with them for 5 years. There was no learning curve, no adjustments whatsoever. The guy's an artist and he's brilliant in the open floor and around the basket. Plus, he's somebody Bryant trusts, and better yet, respects. And it's not just the big three, the Lakers bench is great. Guys like Luke Walton, Ronny Turiaf, Sasha Vujacic and Jordan Farmar give them tremendous energy and they all know and play their roles. As good as they are right now, they're only going to get that much better when they get Andrew Bynum, Chris Mihm and Trevor Ariza back. They've got a veteran at the Point, Bryant who will not let them lose, a couple of 7 footers, athleticism on the wings, a killer bench and a Hall of Fame coach with 9 rings. I'm not saying you skip the playoffs and give the Lakers the title, but clearly, they are the team to beat."
