Post Where were you during the night of the Montreal Screwjob?
Looking back, the whole pay-per-view had a dark cloud over it. Even before the main event. It was a very depressing mood for the whole show. You just knew from watching that something bad was going to happen that night.

I wanted to order the PPV, but I had just turned 15, and my parents wouldn't order it for me because of money issues. Anyhow, I knew it was Bret Hart's last match in the World Wrestling Federation. This was before I even had Internet access. I only knew that because I called a wrestling hotline number I found on the back of a PWI magazine, that I later got in trouble for, for calling when the bill came in. lol.

I honestly felt like something bad was going to happen the night of the Survivor Series. I remember while the show was going on, I went by the back door of the house, sat down, & just watched the Texas rain. I wasn't sad about not getting to see the show. (That wasn't the first time my parents said "no" to ordering a WWF PPV.) I just sensed something bad was going to happen and I honestly had this weird feeling.

The more rational side of me says I felt that way because I knew Bret was leaving the WWF, and I was just depressed, and it was just a very bizarre consequence that Bret would get screwed.

I always had PPV parties in my grandparent's basement. A group of about 8-10 of us would watch every show every month and split the cost. I was watching it, and I was very confused as to what the hell was going on.

Did you really have to make the whole night of the PPV that dramatic and serious? It's just a wrestling PPV. You made it sound like 9/11 happening all over again.

I was in college at the time, turned down the chance to watch in the student union for reason's I've since forgotten (and hate myself for.) May have been sleeping, or else playing Mortal Kombat in the dorm. I remember finding out what happened the next night, being happy that Shawn was champion, and thinking the screwjob bit was a work to shift Bret out the door. Didn't know he was WCW-bound, and really the whole thing didn't get explained to me until a few years later.

I was there. Sitting in the whites. Crowd was nuts, a few HBK fans got threatened and beat up, and at the time I was without the net and still clueless about the backstage going ons so I wasnt exactly sure what was up, but sorta realized that match just didnt end the way it was supposed to.

I was there, in the blues, I was 13 at the time so I didn't understood what was happenning at the time and after some threats coming from older guys I had no choice but to hide my HBK sign and shirt !!!

That's awesome. I pretty much hate/hated HBK fans, and especially hated seeing them in Canada. What's funny is I live in Texas, and I love The Hart Foundation. If Shawn Michaels fans got their asses kicked that night, they probably said and/or did something to provoke it. They're most likely the same type of asshole's who mocked Owen's death. So yeah, when people like that get beat up, I wanna mark out. Cause they deserved it.

um, I was 14, it was a Sunday Night and I was not at the point where I was trying to watch scrambled PPV yet, so definately sleeping. My friend told me what happened the next day and I actually remember the exact moment that he told me. I just was confused and really pissed. Pissed at Bret losing the title.
