If you'd have problems suspending your disbelief for that, you should probably give up on wrestling right now. Especially considering you don't have to suspend your disbelief at all to think that a wrestler not involved in a main event might be in a parking lot or outside near the end of a show.

See, the problem with WWE getting their hands on NXT so soon is that now any time the 7 guys invade, I'm expecting the whole Raw roster to come to the rescue, and greatly outnumber NXT.

So I think they'll stick to ominous backstage/parking lot/etc. attacks until they get more help, be it from NXT2 or FCW guys who are like "WWE never even gave me a chance to be on NXT! fuck them!"

They really weren't, the matches back then for the most part were pretty...well, shit. The gimmicks, the writing etc may get more ridiculous as years go by but the matches/athletes around today/since then blow those days out of the water.

I remember a month or so ago talking about how it sucks at times when WWE could book a local guest host- and someone reminded me the live audience doesn't matter when it comes to who hosts and what happens, and I agree-

all I know is that people in the audience or at home do not give a fuck that this guy is wrestling, and no one will remember it.

Ah, how pissed I'd have been to be in person to see the likes of Seth Green and any other host who "wrestled". I'd have denied being in person for the event David Arquette won the title too.
