It definitely could. The biggest thing in keeping people out of jail are jobs. If he doesn't have a job, then there's no real reason for him not to go to jail.

yeah and that is sad too see the guy is now jake the snake. last night was his last chance at big wrestling. hardy was suposed to do most of the work in the sting match. sting does not have much left in him they should have let rvd or maby anderson do the match.

There's also actually a 4th option


He was too fucked to wrestle but now they're gonna turn that into a story, which would explain all the stupid shit that happened during and after the pinfall (Ie Hardy clearly trying to kick out, yelling at the ref, and Sting saying he agrees with the fans that it was bullshit)

This is the most disturbing possibility as it could basically be TNA trying to profit off Jeff Hardy's real drug problem, and an encouraging/rewarding him

This is an extension of my 2nd possibility but this 4th one assumes TNA wants to move forward with Hardy and is using this match as a starting point for a story whereas option 2 assumes the finish was just planned to get it over with so they could move on period.

Even TNA isn't insane enough to involve a currently-in-the-midst-of-a-felony-drug-trial main eventer in a work where he pretends to be inebriated, and again, Jeff Hardy just isn't that good of an actor - almost if not every telltale sign of intoxication was at play last night. Plus, a work of that nature would be admissible in his trial toward the fact that he's shown no remorse for his actions, was actually trying to profit from them, et cetera.

I think they didn't have a clear plan and that during the angle Bisch and Sting were trying to figure out what to do. Sting stiffed him and pinned him early to prevent an accident from happening.

Well of course I believe what I say, that's why I say it ,and I don't think I'm better than anyone, you on the other hand love to imply that you're better then the IWC because you don't believe anything that comes from the news sites (even the legit ones, Meltzer and Alvarez are pretty legit too), seriously look at that Hogan thread, look here, always stereotyping the IWC as dumb fanboys/fangirls, always implying how stupid people are to believe any of the news.

thats kind of what it looked like to me too, i would'nt be suprised if they did'nt till like 15 mins before the match that hardy was fucked up and had to work it on the fly.

I just downloaded the hd version and watched it again.I retract my earlier statement. This was no work. I know a lot of drug users,and he was totally stoned out of his mind. Hardy got into an unwarranted scuffle with fans at ringside right before tripping on the ring steps. He also messed up singing along with his theme music when he came out. You know,the theme music He WROTE AND SANG HIMSELF!!! HBK did a lot of drugs,but I never saw him so fucked up he couldn't sing along to "Sexy boy" while walking to the ring. The t-shirt spot was akward and then at the end, he wasn't even able drop it to the mat properly. He couldn't even lock up with Sting. I can do a lockup drunk. My little sister knows how wrestlers lock up to start a match for god sakes. If they don't trash the Hot Topic belt asap I'm gonna start watching The Mentalist on thursday nights.

i caught the show last night from the matt hardy/aj styles match to the end. it was the first tna i've watched in years. it was bad. everything i saw and heard. a lot of what i said to my friend last night has been repeated in here. overall, though, what does it matter?

i think some people are overreacting to the hardy situation. this is what tna does, and to be surprised and try to act like tna has a moral high ground that they can stand on is ridiculous. they created this environment that jeff hardy exists and thrives in, and they have to deal with the consequences. unless all of this is a work, of course, in which case good work.
