The online pass and Axxess are up.

I know it's still early for now, but the servers are not only usable, they are bloody fast. That's coming from a UK guy with a 2mbit connection and all their servers are in the US.

We'll see if they get worse over the week.

DLC Pack 1 is all on disc, arbitrarily locking out content. Ugh.

To use any community creations that use DLC elements, you have to have Fan Axxess too. For instance, if some character you want uses the worm, you can't just purchase Scotty 2 Hottie, you need the Fan Axxess 1600 point pack.

Damn, why would they do that? I'm sure that wasn't the way it was last year, not that it bothers me as I'm getting Fan Axxess anyway.

PS. Could've gotten it at midnight but opted against it as the rain/winds were pretty heavy and I was just leaving the hospital.

There is a badass Nitro arena already up. I've put Hasney up if you're bored, under TPWW tag. Also got a screenshot of the white noise going through the table and it not breaking. That's under the keyword "glitch". I'll get the video up tonight I think.

Reading a lot of reviews on various sites saying that the gameplay is the best its been in years - especially on "Epic" match setting. Matches usually lasting at least 10 minutes on that setting.

Getting antsy to try this but I know Universe's bugs will piss me off. Gotta continue to resist the urge and wait til the price lowers.

I think it may be if the the CAW has moves from DDP or Gangrel/Goldust(whichever is the Axxess exclusive), because those two can't be purchased individually, the only way to get them, and the moves, is through Axxess.

Also, DDP is badass. The amount of his moves that they got in for him is pretty slick.

Also, Brian Christopher has a pretty slick looking version of the skull crushing finale.

Caved in and got it. Doesn't matter to me that Universe is still crap. I only use Create a Story, and considering that there are 300 new scenes, I think I'll be pleased.

Attitude mode is good, but also kind of strange. They put so much love and detail into the cutscenes and story progression, but then skimp out in weird places, like not having Billy Gunn's tights, or Taker's rock theme.

My other complaint is that some of the objectives can be a pain in the ass.

Besides that, I love Attitude mode so far.

Create an arena is neat, but the added stage customization isn't really what I'd hoped.

Lots of cool new scenes in story mode.

Gameplay feels a little more polished and tight.

Because I like to play with high-fliers, the fact that top rope moves now rotate to hit their guy is a great touch too. Finally bringing back pins was a no-brainer.

Went a bit crazy on community creations last night while the servers were snappy just in case they went back to the old 12 speed, but they're holding up well so far.

Also, a bit of weird one with Lita. There's 2 versions of her and 3 themes. Neither one of her versions use her awesome Boxcar theme, but it's in there as Lita 2. The matching tron to that one is Lita 1.

Even then she comes out early, so if you go to advanced entrance and give her Triple H 1 as her intro theme, everything works out.

I'm pretty sure you can edit the cards, just not the matches that are TODAYS HIGHLIGHTED MATCH, because they're the ones with branching possibilities. It actually comes up and tells you if you try changing that one.

Undertaker's rock theme is in. You just have to get to mid 1998 for it to start being used.

I've played the fuck out of Attitude Era mode. I'm already on the "Off-Script" matches.

Yeah, if any of the focused on guys change their music throughout the years, it updates it. Even down to Mankinds theme with the weird beat before he went to Wreck at Rumble 99'.

Thinking about it, the only thing that irked me in Attitude mode was Kane. His entrance fireworks hit too early and they get rid of the red light during matches quicker than they actually did.

Yeah. The entrance cues are a little off on Undertaker's rock theme and Kane's organ theme. I guess it wouldn't make much sense to make another entrance when the only difference would be a longer crowd shot or what have you.

Oh fucking sweet. Hadn't gotten far enough where that happens.

And I totally agree with hasney on the catch finishers. My HBK vs Taker HIAC match with taker was epic because of it. Kane had just come in and done his thing, so I went in and pinned taker, only for him to kick out. A few moves later I had a signature, so I went up for the elbow, but he got up and tombstoned me out of the air. I was marking out like crazy at how awesome it looked. The transition is so smooth.

Even losing and having to do it all over would have been fine by me after that awesome ending, but by a sheer stroke of luck, I won the pin mini game and kicked out. He grabbed me and I reversed it into sweet chin music for the win.

Freaking epic.

And speaking of epic, the addition of match pacing might be the best addition. The settings are quick, normal, or epic. Quick will get you a 1-3 minute match. Normal gives you 5-7, and epic gives you 10-15.

No more Alex Riley vs Heath Slater 10 minute classics on Superstars!

With all the gameplay options available to you now, you can really have some great matches.

Irish whip animation has been changed to how it is in real life, where they lean in and call the next move.

Thought that was really neat.

Doing all the historical objectives are a bitch on the harder difficulties (especially timer objectives). HBK/Bulldog about had me throwing my controller.
