HHH vs Reigns is a worthy Mania main event given the build.

I haven't been keeping the best track of what is going on, but I feel this will leave the WrestleMania card looking something like this:
* Brock Lesnar (c) vs. The Rock for the WWE Title * Triple H vs. Roman Reigns * The Undertaker vs. Kevin Owens * Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Chris Jericho for the Intercontinental Title * Stone Cold Steve Austin segment where he is confronted by Bray Wyatt -- Finn Balor & Hideo Itami make the save and look like bad-asses for hanging out with Austin * Charlotte (c) vs. Becky Lynch vs. Sasha Banks vs. Paige for the Divas Title * Alberto Del Rio (c) vs. a bunch of other guys in a Ladder Match for the US Title (if I had to guess: Dolph Ziggler, Sheamus, King Barrett, Neville, Rusev, Kofi Kingston and Stardust) * The New Day vs. a bunch of tag teams for the Tag Team Titles (probably The Usos, The Dudleys and The Wyatt Family) * Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal won by Bray Wyatt Last edited by Mr. Nerfect; 01-09-2016 at 04:49 AM. |

And, for those wondering, this is what they could do for the Takeover show:
* Finn Balor (c) vs. AJ Styles for the NXT Title * Dash & Dawson vs. Enzo & Cass vs. Jordan & Gable vs. The Vaudevillains * Bayley (c) vs. Asuka * Samoa Joe vs. Baron Corbin vs. Apollo Crews * Sami Zayn vs. Hideo Itami * Kalisto vs. La Sombra |

Predictions for booking:
* The Wyatt Family win the Tag Team Titles * Rusev wins the US Title * Becky Lynch wins the Divas Title * Ambrose retains the IC Title * Owens defeats The Undertaker * Reigns defeats Triple H * The Rock plays Obi-Wan to Brock's Darth Vader, setting up Brock vs. Reigns. |

if we're including nxt, present day wwe women's wreslting is by far the best they've ever presented overall. even with the initial clusterfuck diva's revolution booking.

Primarily the focus is on Charlotte turning full heel on Becky, and Becky trying to overcome outside interference from Ric. I got a feeling it will lead to a cage match at some point.

Remember 2 years ago or so we had 4 divas storylines going on? Naomi vs Cameron Layla vs Summer Ray Bella vs Bella and the Divas title picture? That was a moment when the divas scene had more going on for it over this "Divas Revolution" |

Trish, Lita, Gail Kim, Victoria, Mickey James, and there supporting divas was a pretty deep group of women and every one could come in and "hang" with todays divas. The only thing that has come of the self proclaimed Divas Revolution is longer matches. They still cant decide what women they want to be heel or face and they switch weekly. There is depth in the Divas division but its not filled with deep talent.

Disagree entirely. Back when, you had Trish, Lita, Steph, Ivory, Jazz, Jacqueline, Victoria, Torrie, Mickie James, Michelle McCool, Gail Kim, Layla, Maria...best "era" was from c.1999-2010, IMHO.

The Bella feud was among the worst things of that year. Current crop has Charlotte, who might be the best athlete in Divas division history. Then you have Banks and Bayley who just won match of the year for NXT. I don't think any of the aforementioned matches would be considered match of the day much less match of the year. I just think the crop of talent is overall better today than any period in history. |

Yeah, Paige surprising AJ on RAW and subsequently beating AJ for the Divas championship is probably the most memorable moment in non-NXT Women's Division competition in the last 3 years.

Decent? Trish and Lita are in the Hall of Fame and Victoria will probably go in this year. Gail Kim is probably the best womens wrestler on the planet. Mickey James is the only one that could be called decent in my opinion. Todays women are still very talented but are also very green. Charlotte is super athletic but is still very green but working with her dad is helping a bit. The Bellas have alway been dredful in the ring and have just recently stated to get better but still flip heel/face all the time. Paige and Sascha are the only two I think could step in with the women metioned above and fit right in I believe. Becky has alot of potintial but I dont think WWE has let her spread her wings yet.

The talent crop was amazing back then, but a lot of the stories left a lot to be desired. Gail Kim was treated like shit. A lot of the girls actually got a decent run, but it never had the feeling it was "important."

Kharma should have been Women's Champion forever, but I suppose her run wasn't extended enough.
Katie Lea was a talented worker and good looking lass that never got a token run. |

Maxine and Johnny Curtis should have been duel champions at the top of their divisions, probably should have given them a brief "Power Trip" style run with the tag belts too.

Johnny Curtis and Maxine oozed sexual chemistry together. Sincerely would have liked to have seen Curtis with the IC Title and Maxine by his side. Not sure if she was good enough in the ring to be the Divas Champ though.

Another revised WrestleMania card:
WWE World Heavyweight Championship Brock Lesnar (c) vs. Batista -Brock wins the Rumble and Heyman cuts promos about how Brock has destroyed everybody in the WWE, and there's no one left. Cue Batista walking to the ring and calmly introducing himself. Match set. The Beast vs. The Animal. No Holds Barred Match Triple H vs. Roman Reigns -The Game returns and costs Reigns the Rumble, just as it looks like he is about to get on a roll. This is no longer about The Authority and Reigns' potential to carry the WWE into the future. Reigns knows he's good enough, Triple H knows he's good enough, but he is that damn good? They do a good job with the video packages on this one, showing Triple H's rivalry with The Rock, his early influence in Reigns' Shield career, right down to the splintering off and the more recent physical altercations. Triple H gets an epic Motorhead entrance as a tribute to Lemmy. The finish sees Triple H going to blast Reigns with the sledgehammer, but Reigns catching him with a Spear before he can and getting the win. Reigns earns Triple H's respect, and he evolves into something more like his NXT character (wishful thinking). The Undertaker vs. Bray Wyatt -I originally had this as a Casket Match, but let's be honest -- those suck. Remove the road blocks from these guys and let them improve on their Mania outing from last year. I'm stealing this idea from a great poster here, but Bray tells The Family he doesn't want their help for this match. He needs to prove things to himself. And the finish is what #1-wwf-fan suggested they do at WrestleMania last year -- Taker gets Wyatt in the Hell's Gate, and Bray starts laughing as he fades. Taker wins the match, but Wyatt gets some measure of moral victory over Taker. The next night on RAW, The Family turns on Wyatt and aligns themselves as believers in The Undertaker. This leads to Bray eventually battling through them and finally earning absolution by beating The Undertaker -- whether this be at SummerSlam or WrestleMania the following year. In-Ring Segment The Rock comes out to greet The People -You're going to have your big stars at WrestleMania. I don't know if you have this segment start off with The Social Outcasts trying to hold up WrestleMania, or a Miz promo, but somehow you get The Rock out there, soon to be joined by Stone Cold Steve Austin. They exchange barbs with each other, and take it turns dressing down The Outcasts (my personal picks). It's Rock Bottoms and Stunners for them all, before some new music hits, and out comes AJ Styles, Karl Anderson & Luke Gallows. The Bullet Club makes their debut by dismantling Austin and Rock in the middle of the ring -- a symbolic gesture of the changing times. Fatal 4-Way Match for the Divas Championship Becky Lynch (c) vs. Charlotte vs. Sasha Banks vs. Paige -I've got the Divas Title going over to Becky before WrestleMania, because I think they might need to give her a moment before then before she fizzles out or gets the reputation of a loser. Charlotte could be fine as a heel chasing the belt back, Sasha would be fine as a heel chasing the belt (with merit to her name), and Paige would be fine as a whiny entitled heel chasing. Fans are going to cheer Banks regardless, so having moments where she and Becky regard each other and re-unite Team BAE temporarily could be pretty awesome. Stephanie McMahon makes her presence felt and somehow helps Sasha Banks walk out with the Divas Title, re-affirming her heel status. Triple Threat Match for the Intercontinental Championship Dean Ambrose (c) vs. Chris Jericho vs. Shinsuke Nakamura -This seems like a really natural choice for WrestleMania to me. When Nakamura debuts, he wants to go right after Dean Ambrose and the IC Title, since he's the undefeated IWGP IC Champion. Ambrose would have no problem putting the belt on the line against Nakamura, and the interactions between the two could be electric. A guy who does have a problem with it, is Chris Jericho -- revealing himself to be a more depserate veteran than we imagine, and a man who feels entitled to a 10th IC Title reign. The three are confirmed for a match against each other, which is not Nakamura's element, puts Ambrose at a disadvantage, and Jericho's just there as a legend being a huge dick. Nakamura can win the IC Title without much damage coming to Ambrose. United States Championship Kevin Owens (c) vs. Sami Zayn -These two could have a personal feud without a title being on the line, but the US Title being there would help. Kalisto could win the belt back from Del Rio, then drop it to Owens. Or someone else could take it from Del Rio. Neville, Ziggler, R-Truth...anyone. This would be the personal lower-card feud that tears the house down. Owens is such a dick and Zayn is so likable, I can't see this program not getting over to some degree. Triple Threat Tag Team Match for the WWE Tag Team Championship The New Day (c) vs. The Usos vs. The Wyatt Family -This could just be The New Day against The Usos, or you could throw The Dudleyz in there too, but I feel that this combination could lead to a really good match. Put Luke Harper in there with Kofi Kingston to bounce around for him, and you have gold. This also gives the commentators time to talk about Bray Wyatt vs. Undertaker, which might make this a candidate for the pre-show, which is usually where they have Tag Team Title matches. But it could also be on the main card in a warming up spot. 8-Man Tag Team Match The League of Nations vs. Dolph Ziggler, Neville, Kalisto & Ryback -Put your four-man heel group you probably want to feature against four babyfaces you probably want to feature. Neville and Kalisto will do some flippy-shit, Dolph will bounce around to make the bad guys look good, Ryback will kick a lot of ass to get the crowd fired up -- should be a decent opener. Kickoff Show: Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal Featuring Big Show, Kane, Mark Henry, The Dudleyz, Jack Swagger, The Miz, The Social Outcasts, Los Matadores, Fandango, Damien Sandow, Titus O'Neil, Darren Young, Stardust, The Ascension, Goldust, Tyler Breeze, Hideo Itami, Zack Ryder, Road Dogg, Alex Riley, David Otunga, Rhyno, Mojo Rawley, and whoever else the fuck you want to put in there -This is where everyone else goes and does their best to get things over. I could see them giving it to Titus O'Neil, since they seemingly want to push him a bit. Stardust would also be a good candidate, as a "Thank you for putting yourself into this shit" role. |
